helloooooooo, i have this player and was wonderin' if any one knew of any region or macro hacks for it? i've been to the grundig website but they dont list it, at all. on the bottom of the player there is a sticker saying it was made "exclusively for DSG " which i assume is the dixons group, as thats where i bought it. how do i find out about hacks for this machine. i've looked at a couple of hack sites and this player doesnt get a mention any where. is it a grey import do you think?

No idea if it would work, but have you tried the hack for the GDV130?

Switch on unit and ensure no disc is in the machine. Using the remote control press 'open' and then 'setup'. Press '9' for region free or select the required region number then press '2', '0', '0', '0', 'step', 'shuffle' and finally 'next'

Or the GDV200/210?

Open the tray.
2. Insert region 1 disc. Do not close the tray.
3. Press 0,1,2,3 on the remote.
4. Press Play.
Your player is now region free. To return it to region 2 only do the following:
1. Open the tray.
2. Insert region 2 disc. Do not close the tray.
3. Press Return on the remote.
4. Press Play on the remote.

thanks. i can't try those hacks as some of the buttons in the first hack are not featured on my remote, and i haven't got a R1 disc,yet,for obvious reasons.

but again thanks. i think the only option will be to have it chipped as i really dont think ill find a hack for this machine. if grundig won't even acknowledge it's existance what chance have i got!!! :(

hello again, i just thought i'd try a search for other posts about the player but it says the facility has been disabled by the administrator??? did you know this already? is there any way i can do a quick search or am i gonna have to go back through the posts?
