Coming To Dvd?

I'm really into the 'West Wing' and (very sadly) Charmed.

Does anybody know if they are going to be released on DVD?

IIRC there is a rule in the US which specifies how long a new show must be available only for syndication before it is allowed to be released on VHS/DVD, so we will probably have to wait a while.

On a side note, do you by any chance have a copy of the West Wing special that was filmed as a result of 11/09/01, I missed it when it was on E4 last month and would love to borrow it from someone. Apparently it is the most watched episode of any show on American TV this year.

There was mention on an Australian newsgroup a few weeks ago that The West Wing may be coming to DVD there in mid-2002. It could be true as Warners have released all the Friends seasons up #7 in R2 and R4, but only 'best ofs' in America.

This might be Warners way of making some dosh ahead of the day they can release the discs in the US after the syndication issues are out of the way?

How did you miss the special episode DaveL? It was shown 4 times that week on E4 (with repeats).

I've got a copy that was recorded by my parents while I was on holiday. I've only just got it myself but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I'll be doing this sometime this week so provided my parents don't mind I'd be able to post it out to you at the weekend.

West Wing is on the UK Warners schedule for early Summer 2002 on DVD and VHS, no details yet if its a box set or individual episodes.
