Is there any benefit going for the slighlty more expensive R2, or is the R1 just as good?

I did own the Region 1 edition of this series and at £17.99 from Play247.com it's great value!!
The Region 2 release is around £27.99!!!
From what I have just read the extras appear to be identical.
My advice - save that tenner and get it from Play247 - no question.
Stick that nice tenner you saved towards other nice shiny discs :D
Cheers, I've never seen the show, apart from the odd clip, but I've heard it's good so I might pick it up to give me and the SO something to watch together over xmas.

the r2 is NTSC as well so theres no reason to go for a r2 for a PAL transfer
