I currently have a Linksys BEFSR41 router (4 port) but it seems to keep resetting itself, I then have to go throught the setup procedure (netsat) to get it back up and workin (network & internet connection) I have updated the firmware but still the same, however this seems very random some time it will last 4 - 5 days today it went down again after about 2 hrs :(
1, Any1 know of a solution to this
2, Any1 reccomend a Wireless 4 port router that would make a suitable replacement?

BTW my ISP is NTL

I had the same router (and with NTL too) and the same problems...Tried loads of different firmware versions but it kept doing the same thing.

I moved over to the Asus WL500g Deluxe router and its the dog's dangles.

Definitely the best router I've used to date (And I've setup plenty for mates etc). So many great features as standard, and if you head over to this forum (http://wl500g.info/) there is a host of additional things you can do with the router if needed (i.e. firmware to turn the router into a web-server, loads of security scripts etc).

Can pick it up dirt cheap too, I got it from Scan (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=170238)

Haven't needed to reset it (other than when I update it with new scripts etc) , been running stable since the day I installed it :)

Hope that helps mate

Could be a heat issue, try turning it on it's side, had to do this a couple of years ago with my Linksys WRT54G during the summer when it kept locking up. But it did solve it :)

Is it near a radiator or other heat source?
