big sinky

the £99 dvd player from crown has found to be a clone of the matsui 110. I have found this model to be handset hackable using the matsui 110 codes. they are as follows.
with no disc in the player press menu, 1,6,7.
you will then see "region?" and from there press 1 or 2 or mute for "all region".
thanks to clayts for pointing out that it may be a clone.
Cheers

Well done matey for making the connection.
These weird and wonderful names that appear on DVD players usually means that they are clones or something or other. I wonder what the Matsui is a clone of :D
I quite often spend my time squinting at photo's of obscurely named players trying to make the connection : e.g. Sampo players are known as all sorts around the world : Encore, Afreey, Omni, Philco, Neotek, Bodysonic, TProgress, Tokai, Wharfedale, etc, etc : the latest to join the list of "famous brands" is Reoc (but only the A5, not the A3) - still no working hack for this at the moment but we're working on it !
Anyway - it's always nice to come up with a hack and to be the first to announce it !
Well done again
