Even though the DVD was released some years ago, i still hope someone remembers the answer to my question.Since this DVD was made for all the European countries,i have to assume the DVD has the worst censorship know to man--german style!!!We all know what the first editions of Mad Max 2(The Road Warrior),Passenger 57 and The Last Boy Scout where like,----cut beyond recognition.

Some cuts here, mate - amounting to 2 seconds in total for the omission of a "double ear-clap" from the final fight sequence.
Also, references to "Taco Bell" are changed to "Pizza Hut" - including dialogue dubbing and graphics changes - as Warner believed Taco Bell wasn't a very-well known name in Europe.
Better off going for the Region 1 copy, which also includes a commentary.
(Incidentally, all info here was taken from UK DVD Cuts at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bwescombe/index.htm ;))

actually my R2 disc has Taco Bell in it - no redubs here. Not sure about the headclap though.
I watched this recently on Sky (why I don't know because I have the R1 DVD) and there were lots of cuts.
Demolition Man R2 was orginally released with the Taco Bell Restaurant but when re-released had it replaced with Pizza Hut. Says on the Thread above.
I have the Taco Bell version which I class as the orginal uncut version.

I also have the Taco Bell version, maybe it was just the cinema version that was changed ?
While Demolition Man was cut by 2 seconds, both Last Boy Scout and Passenger 57 were not cut at all on region 2.

The first edition that came out on the european marked where cut to pices. The DVD`s had german censor and totally raped the story in the movies. Then this year these movies were released again,in Norway, marked "Uncut" but they all have the same rating as R1 editions. The cutting in The Last Boy Scout was so badly done that a person, that haven`t seen the movie uncut, would understand that something terrible was wrong about the movie. You don`t ever see a badguy get hit by bullets, but the worst cut ever made is the scene at the indoors pool. When a badbuy hits Bruce Willis several times in the face when asking for a light for his cigarette, ending in Bruce hitting the badguy in the nose so that the nosebone goes into the brain and instantly kills him.In the cut edition we see the badbuy hitting Bruce some times in the face, but the last hit in Bruce`s face with the mentioned ending i cut.The last we see of the badguy is him laying on the floor without any answer to why he ended up in that position. Some other scenes were also trimmed for violence. The killing of the stripper(Halle Berry getting sprayed with bullets and Bruce`s killing of her assasins. The meeting in the woods, and the meeting at the office to the boss.Bruce shooting a man in the legs with a shotgun, that`s a NO NO!
In Passenger 57 the killing of the badguy using the golfclub and some other violent fighting where cut the first time.
Does anyone else think Warner should do a Demolotion Man Special Edition. The normal version is nearlly a bare bones disc and a shiny 2 disc SE would be nice for the die hard fans of the film.

One of the finest action films of the 1990's. Satirical, intelligent, and downright funny, i'm not surprised it did poorly at the US box office. Irony IS a foreign word to most americans. The poor reception of Three Kings can also be attributed to this phenomenon. It's called 'Thinking.'
"Don't you think?"
"I try not to. We've taken care of all that. Have a peachy day."

I wouldn't be surprised if the Pizza Hut version becomes quite valuable one day. They took a great deal of care with the dubbing and CGI graphics... but it does rather spoil things that in the restaurant scene, the glass door of the restaurant has Taco Bell quite clearly stencilled on it!
For the record, the UK cinema version was the original Taco Bell one - the first time I saw it dubbed with Pizza Hut was when I bought the French DVD.
This is a cracking film though. According to the IMDB, there were a lot of scenes cut, including a whole subplot about Sylvester Stallone's daughter so maybe a special edition will come along one day.
