wireless mouse and keyboard problems

hi guys, bought apc from lidl 18months ago, it came with wireless mouse and keyboard, i didnt like the mouse so changed it after a month or so and didnt have any problems up until just before xmas. keyboard and mouse stopped working suddenly, reinstalled drivers, changed batteries, pressed all reset buttons but still nothing. so i got a new keyboard and mouse from aldi, tevion is the make, plugged it in and both worked fine straight away, today the mouse and keyboard have gone again, surely this cant be a fault with the mouse or keyboard, can anyone suggest something to try? this old serial mouse and keybaord im using are ancient but at least they work.
is it a wireless problem? all lights are working on the mouse and sender. :help: :help: :help: :help:
