Got a free upgrade coming from BT mobile and they have said I can choose any phone that they sell.

Which is the best out of this rather paltry lot then? Either for use or for sale. I already have the Samsung D500.

Thanks

EDIT: Now got a D600 and Moto PEBL

I've had a K750i and have got a D600 - they're both good but the D600 is better imho. The hi-res screen is a vast improvement on the D500 and the TV-out is handy for viewing photos.

D600 I would say.

However I am on BT mobile and really annoyed at the small choice of phones you can get with them, my upgrade was due months ago but they have none of the latest Nokia's (e.g. N70/8800) and I'm doubting they will get the E61 either when it comes out so I'll probably have to omve providers and start again :(

D600 - superb phone.

Just don't install the rubbish PC software (assuming you have a PC that is). :brickwall

Hmmm, I may hang about for month to see if they have anything new then.

Failing that - the D600 is the most "valuable" but we already both have D500s.

I just rang BT Mobile asking about what new phones they are expecting, they went off and check with purchasing but they have no plans to get the N70 or any new Nokias yet :( I think its about time to move providers whichis a pity as I can have a free upgrade to any phone on BT Mobile as I spends 100's a month with them usually.

Hmmm, in that case I may just go for the D600 then.

None of the others appeal to me - even the V3 does not appeal to the Missus.

My BT mobile is up next month and I rang to cancell, I had previously reduced my tarriff to £12.50 they offered me any phone free, half price line rental and double mins for first 6 months.
So thats a free D600, 400 mins for just £15 a month for 6 months then downgrade to £12.50 again Hummm

Good deal but doesn't help me as I don't pay for my line rental or calls (all expensed) so I just want the good phone either to use or eBay (http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-582776-5826355)

Actually, just phoned up for the D600 upgrade (at the same tariff as lewie) . The guy at BT then asked me if I would prefer the Motorola PEBL V6 (only just in and not yet on the website) as I seemed to like new gadgets.

Snapped his hands off as I like that phone. If it turns out to be crap I can always give it to the Missus and use her upgrade for the D600 in a week's time :D

Motorola PEBL V6 isn't that expensive.

Yeah, the V3i would have been even better - but I quite fancy the Pebl.

Why is this? The USB cable I got with the phone specifically states that I should not connect the phone without the software being installed.

Software seems ok to me. You can manage your contacts, photos, sounds etc. Its all I need from it anyway.

When I originally got my D500 (summer of last year) I ended up reverting back to my trusty old Nokia 6310i. There were no faults with the D500 but the fact that battery life is poor, that it tries to be more than just a phone and is a lot more fragile were my reasons for stopping using it. At least with my 6310i I can drop it without having to worry about it smashing to bits or the battery life going low after three days or so. I guess things like coloured screens and cameras are to blame for the poor battery life.

I will never leave my trusty old 6310i again - perhaps I am just old fashioned. :D

That's just it though. Phones are not just phones anymore.

The best true "phone" I have ever owned was my Nokia 6100. Superb size build.

The next time I upgrade will be when they invent decent batteries. Three/four days compared to at least ten days with my Nokia 6310i is just not on. :suspect:
