Xbox 360 headset query

Got a wired 360 controller plus my old xbox headset - the question is where does the headset fit on the controller??? Been searching the net but can't find the answer, though I'm sure it's very obvious :shrug:

Just plug it in the bottom, in the hole in the middle. You don't use the dongle thingy, just plug the actual wire straight into the controller. You will lose mute & volume functionality though
