Is this laptop any good for £360 ?
I would want to play a game or two on it and surf the web?

Would be fine for surfing, but with only 256M memory I wouldn't try playing any recent games on it.

Could you advice me on a laptop that would be able to for as cheap as possible?
Cheers.

I guess to be sure, you'd have to look at the 'entertainment laptops' but they start at £750 :eek:

You'd probably need processor > 1.4Ghz
memory >= 512Mb
Graphics card >= 128mb
As much disk as you can find.

this should suit you Dixons (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/click?p=1468&a=60823&g=16569&url=http://www.dixons.co.uk/product.php?sku=035876)

although you'll need an extra 256mb of ram and also don't expect to run half life 2 or anything graphically intensive.

EDIT: this one's spec isn't too bad for the price but it's out of stock :mad: Dixons (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/click?p=1468&a=60823&g=16569&url=http://www.dixons.co.uk/product.php?sku=935200)

if you want to play COD2 at a decent framerate and resolution on a laptop you'll need to pay big bucks for that I'm afraid. None of the cheap laptops will be sufficient.

how cheap are we talking because this discount along with the egg 10% makes the LG 26LX2R around £546!

something like this EDIT see below!! would run it but it'll still chug a bit just to give you some idea of prices. If you play a lot of games then I'd stick with a desktop that is upgradeable. Remember, you're stuck with the spec of a laptop unless you buy a new one.
