Vertigo

I've heard some horror stories about the DVD release of 'Vertigo' -the whole effects soundtrack has apparently been redubbed, together with a newly laid-down music track, and the original dialogue is very hard to hear. Does anyone know if there's any truth to this and if so is it applicable to all regions? Thanks.

didn't notice any trouble with the dialogue.

All regions have the same audio and same extras, the only difference is that R2/4 is anamorphic and the R1 version is non-anamorphic.
