O.K 3 polls down (Traditional Kung Fu, Modern MA) another one to go!!!
Thanks to everyone who voted in the last one BTW!!!

A couple of weeks ago a few of us HK fans decided that we could eliminate most of the "What HK film should I get?" or "What HKL title is worth buying?" threads by sorting out a definitive list of HK films. We decided to go all out & list a stupid number of titles so that no-one will be after a rating for a film that isn't on the list. So far, so good, but there's a shedload of HK films out there, so we've had to split the list up into categories. The second category that we have made for you to vote on is Comedy/Action films.
It's took us a week, but we've come up with a list of titles that is guaranteed to perplex & freak out 90% of the people of the forums. Don't ask me for information on these titles, I've never heard of most of them!!!!

But don't ignore this list please as EVERY vote counts!!! Just copy the list to a text document on your hard drive & put a rating beside the films that you've seen. It doesn't matter if you've only seen 1 film on that list (Shaolin Soccer, no doubt), WE STILL WANT YOUR VOTES PLEASE!!!!

How do you rate the titles? Well, think IMDB. Just put a rating out of 10 next to the titles that you have seen & then E-mail the list to me at: theshingster@aol.com. Please, only post your results on this thread if you can't send me an e-mail, we don't want to use up the Forum's Bandwidth!

I will then take your results & find the average result for each film, just like the IMDB do. So please please help us out & vote on the list. Thanks!!!!!!!

Here's a brief Mark Breakdown Scheme:
1-2 = Crap!
3-5 = Average
6-7 = Good
8-9 = Very Good
10 = Excellent

is there a particular day you'd like the votes by? cause i have a few of these but haven't watched them all yet :p

and is the rating just for the film, or the DVD also.. as some have truly aweful transfers with barely readable burnt in sub-titles in english and chinese at the same time :(

Thanks for the votes Nick!

The official deadline for the voting is 23:59 Friday, but i guess that could be extended till Sunday if you think the extra 2 days would help you cram a few more titles in toot?
Also, you only rate the film itself, not the DVD, otherwise most the titles would get crap marks!

hee-hee. It always makes me laugh when I read complaints about the picture quality of big studio dvds, or things like the Tartan edition of Ring... we HK fans have to put up with some right horrors. Case in hand? In Justice My Foot the picture was moving about so much that I felt quite ill. :nuts:

Ashes of Time! Gorgeous film, 2 horrendous DVD releases (World Video & Mei Ah)! It looks like someone has vomitted all over the print in the Mei Ah release, but it's still the best version available!
