great movie..

i ordered this in september before i went to uni. Because i was away the postman in his great wisdom, decided to post it back to amazon.fr!!
After about a month and a half of trying to convince amazon.fr to send me a replacement disc, i finally got my hands on it for the christmas break..
SCRATCHED
as i opened the package i noticed the disc was off it's spool and so it slipped out of the package. :mad:
on closer inspection i noticed two scratches on the disc..
i put it in the player to have a watch and check whether the disc was ok or not but alas I'm getting a major time delay at the beginning of the disc, just after it loads up you see a www.tri"SOMETHING".fr web address appear, and it stays there for around 2 minutes, the counter very slowly crawling upwards..
also, upon selecting the movie to play there's another long delay where it appears to freeze, and also i can't fast forward or rewind thhrough scenes as it freezes..
so i was wandering whether is most likely due to the scrathed underside (there are two visable scratches on the disc) or whether this is a known issue - i'm sure it must be the former rather than the latter as no reviews have mentioned this.. :rolleyes:
NEXT STEP?
so what should i do? i'm wanting to return the disc to amazon.. but i'm not good at french so it'll be more of a delay in trying to get a replacement disc which wont come off it's spool and scratch in transit.. i'm looking at a major headache here..
looks like i'll need altavista.com's translator..
and a heck of a lot of patience..
