Just like francis in the previous thread I've been totally screwed by Shamazon. Despite ordering on the 22nd of August and been guaranteed delivery by the 24th of December only to have changed to expected delivery on the 23rd December, my order status has changed today to delivery after Christmas. I think my 9 year old sons Christmas will be slightly spoiled :mad:
I always treat call centre staff with respect but I pity the person who picks up my call tomorrow at 8:00.
I will be doing my ultimate in the future to put people off from buying from this company.

Not sure how helpful it is, but cores seem to be increasing in availability at the moment - couldn't you pick one up and send the Amazon order back with a big '**** you' once it finally arrives?
At least it will save Christmas.

The thing that really ticks me off is that they didn't supply in order.
Just received email confirmation of the new delay, note the "availability now" in the order summary :D
edit - just to recap from the other thread, was due one on release. didn't get it, eventually updated my account with an ETA of this Thursday the 22nd. Then noticed today they added a graphic to say it would be received after the 25th, new eta of December 27th - January 4th :|

I would love nothing more than to tell them to stick it up their ****, I should settle for getting a core elsewhere, but then there's the added hassle of getting the HDD, component lead, wireless controller etc.

Amazon have shafted me too! Mine now says it will be delivered after Christmas, but I doubt I'll get it before Jan 4th at this rate.
I'm very temped to cancel my order and try to source another Premium package from somewhere else - anyone got any suggestions as to the most likely candidates having some stock (I'm not interested in the Core package, what's the point in that?)?
Actually, I think I'm getting tired of this whole farce, I'm losing interest in even owning an Xbox 360 now at all. Ultimately I blame MS for messing things up royally and I personally now despise Amazon - I ordered way back in the summer and they messed my order up claiming there was a credit card problem even though they had processed other items on the same order with it! I learnt on Friday that I guy from work ordered only a few days before release and his was delivered on the day! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Maybe I should just sack all this off and wait for a PS3?
If I can't find a Premium pack within the next few days I'm gonna cancel my order and forget about it. Then I'll have to figure out how to get rid of my games and charge kits (which Amazon kindly DID send me, just to rub salt in to the wound).

gazman - according to Game the other day, the only way to get them is to get them from places that do not take pre-orders like Woolworths, Tescos etc

You're going to have to get extremely lucky to pick up a Premium I think - I managed to pick one up in Woolies (they announced over the tannoy while I was there looking for an AV cable :D ) but thanks to the forums own star byronsp, who sorted me out with a core pack, I was able to sell it on to my sis at cost and make her Christmas.

Phoned just now and got throught to Kerry (God help her). Zero result they don't have any in stock so can't do anything. She was sympathetic to my predicament, i.e. a Christmas present for my 9 year old, but couldn't do anything.
She had no knowledge of orders being fulfilled out of sequence but said if I had proof to send it to head office.
If there is anyone that has received an order for a Premium they placed after 22 August good on them. If they would be prepared to let me have details of their order number to help my case I would be very grateful.

Anyone who bought from Ebay.de have theres delivered by DHL? Mine was sent last Wednesday and I thought it would of been here by now.
Ive been given a tracking number but I cant get it working on the DHL site, and their customer services hotline is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.
Was walking past Game to-day in Newtownabbey,and enquired about a Hard Drive being in stock....'yes sir we had one delivered to-day' young sales assistant was about to put it on the shelf-stroke of luck or what,they also had a vga cable and loads of wireless bridge/wireless pads,my advice check game on a daily basis this is what i have been doing and have to-day struck lucky,and to think i was going to pay 95 quid for one on Saturday......

Not to get anybody overly excited or anything, but I was in Toys r Us in Lakeside today and they had 'numerous' Core bundles in stock.....people seemed to be more interested in buying PS2's. They also had a few accessories, no Hard Drives unfortunately, but wireless controllers etc.
The cheapest priced bundle was £249 iirc, core + 3 games.

I saw a premium with 3 games go for £380 earlier. That's less than game etc. are charging. My premium has been dispatched from game.

Also, depending where you're based there are loads of both around Charlton, or there were on Monday night when we went out accessorising :D Also spotted a media remote in Currys and loads of memory cards.

Take a look in your local Dixons/Currys. I went inside and the woman I spoke to hadn't even heard of one. She asked another assistant, who had to ask another assistant. Whilst that was going on, I looked inside their glass cabinet (where all the 360 accessories/games are kept) and saw a Play and Charge kit. The woman said that it was for a pre-order :suspect: (for a Play and Charge kit? :?: ), but after she checked with someone, she said it was for sale. Needless to say, I immediately bought it. :clap:.

Toys R Us - Wireless dongle, wireless controllers, 64mg memory card, and play/charge kits. Came in today.
Currys (Old Shoreham Rd) - Wireless controllers, normal controllers, play/charge kits, memory cards.
Currys had just had a delivery, and the guy I spoke to said they were getting accessories in nearly every day, but low quantities of them. No HDDs or consoles though.

grrr went into dixons in huddersfield and was told that they had premiums and cores in a few days ago - grrr I was in Huddersfield on saturday too.
Anyway - ordered the core package from comet link above - will grab a HD at a later date. No HDTV yet, no need fore a wireless controller so I am happy :)

Game in Oxford Street (London, obviously) received 5 Cores today but they have now gone. They had big posters "Now back in stock" at the window for all of an hour, I think. :lol:
Guy at the counter was saying that they do indeed receive them, albeit unpredictably but, they hadn't received any Premium system recently.
If I weren't going on holiday in 2 days, I'd most likely be able to get myself a non Ebay one at high street prices before Christmas.
So keep looking.
Personally, I'll worry about finding one in January, when I can get a Premium without a hassle (one can always dream). :)

Virgin Piccadilly Circus have Prem in stock NOW. Unknown number, I saw4 or 5 behind the counter, but believe they have more in some stock room as thats where they guy went. You have to buy either 3 games or 2 games and a controller.

To answer my own question (since it might be useful for someone) I had no trouble obtaining a Premium. Didn“t see any HDDs tho, I guess they are easier to bring back in numbers on a plane.

Hmm. My money has been debited so you'd imagine they actually have them. Previously they've said items are in stock and then you go to checkout and they show as out of stock. I also note they are limiting to 1 per customer which is good!

Altrincham branch had plenty in this afternoon. Although advertised as a bundle deal for £360, they still sold me one on it's own.
Don't forget that they do price matching. Got them to price match games with Asda next door which were £5.02 cheaper.

Yep - managed to bag the last premium from Game in Brighton an hour ago. Apparently, they'd had them in since they opened and they were going slowly because people weren't asking for them....
Forced a bundle on me, which wasn't as bad as their usual rubbish - premium and 4 games for £449. If you go by a price of £280 for the premium and (Game's overpriced high street prices) £50 a game, that's actually a saving of £30.
Now to shift my core. Anyone know what Dixons return policy is for something returned within 10days? :)
not a great deal of help, but I was in Weston-super-Mare high street today, and saw someone walking along with a premium console (on it's own). I can only assume it was from GAME or GAMESTATION so may be worth a try.

Yes, it should come with the scart block infact. But the picture quality will not be ideal, it will be a composite signal.
You will not be using the component leads (the blue/red/green cables - bearing in mind there is another red lead in there for audio too) to do this though.

Just got back from Merry Hill and both GAME Stores have Premiums in stock. Game next to NEXT said you could get the console on its own for £280 whilst GAME opposite River Island said it was only available in a £454 bundle.

It's a Premium but the catch is it comes with Kong, Amped 3 and Perfect Dark (perfect dark is the only one that appeals to me) all for £429!

Costco is a wholesale 'warehouse'. It's members are usually from the trade or public sector. I'm not sure if any old Joe can walk in and get membership. I know that I was sent an offer for membership. I am very surprised by the number of Xbox 360s that Costco are getting.
In Birmingham in particular, they had around 40 on launch day (more than many gaming stores) but unfortunately I missed out on one as I arrived too late. Around 10 days later, they got about another 10 consoles in (finally managed to get one after phoning them every day :thumbs: ) so I am very pleased with them. After reading the above post of Costco having 35 in stock, it means that they must have some good links with Microsoft/Gem (Xbox 360 distributor).

just called Choices as my order was placed on 23rd December, guy said they didn't have any in and 1st Feb is their next scheduled delivery date from Microsoft. Said anyone ordering today won't get one. He said there are 180 pre-orders outstanding and the guy at the top of the list ordered on 22nd November
I personally reckon though that they will honour the new orders as they come bundled with a game and they'll get more profit from that.
Cancelled my order
Seems crazy from Microsoft that we've ended up in this situation. Was the 1st xbox so hard to come by? Is this stock problem caused by having an almost simultaneous worldwide launch?
My word -50 quid for a game????? jesus, i assume they wont remain at that price? Im used to paying about 25 quid per game at the moment.........

The GAME in Preston is taking preorders again, there is a sign in the window they are expecting deliveries all thru January. I imagine all GAME stores are doing similar

I go that email today only because i registered on their website after watching the Launch program they used to show every night on their Satellite Channel.
I never had a 360 pre-ordered from them.

Erm - ChoicesUK TV is a separate entity to ChoicesUK so I'm guessing they have their own stock allocations.

Both HMV stores had loads of wireless controllers, as well as Play/Charge kits and Batteries - apparently received them this morning, first batch for ages. No machines though, and no blooming av/scart cables either - the one thing I want! :(

It's about it's market value of what you would pay brand new to be honest, your friend isn't really offering you a bargain. But if you want an 360 badly they are not ripping you off

yeah i know its not a bargain, he said he doesn't really want to lose money on it and given the availability of the items i can't really complain too much. i'll see if i can get maybe 20/30 off just because its halfway thru the month, i got paid early last month so i'm feeling it.. but i do really need to get one of these things i feel hehe.

Was in Tesco Carrickfergus to-night and they had 4 premium boxes on the shelf,i would imagine you have to take the empty box to customer services to purchase,as i bought a wireless controller before chrimbo same thing bring box to CS to purchase etc,anyway price beside the box was 279.00,also had memory cards/controller maybe helpful to someone.....

I am OVER THE MOON at the moment.
Walked into my local GAME "Outlet" today, had a browse around and eventually went to the 360 section. Picked up a Memory card box, a WiFi box (Damn you MS £59.99 :mad: ) and a Play And Charge Kit box then proceeded to the till.
Manager (I think?) was a friendly chap and went to look for my items, amazingly all of them were in stock (Including the P&C kit!!!). He said he would arrange my pre order of 360 after finding my items. But he then tells me there has been a customer cancellation on one so they have a premium package in stock! (Brand new and sealed :D). Had to buy a bundle of course but it was a fairly priced 360 + King Kong bundle rather than a 10 game bundle!!!
Even got a reward card which now has £3 on it :clap:

Just picked one up at lunchtime in HMV (Sauchiehall St, Glasgow).
