Rolling Stone reports that hip hop/rap artist Jay Z recently had a meeting about his work on the director's cut of the film Scarface. He's executive-producing the soundtrack, supervising the music and doing the score for the 2002 re-release!

I'll forgive you for that as your new here - but you say that again and we're no longer brothers! :p

If this trend continues then they'll be no original soundtracks to any 80's movies!

I just love that synth chord that comes in whenever someone ****** Tony off and he gets that evil look in his eyes :p

off topic but...
is there just the ONE R2 UK release of "Scarface"?
'cause I've seen a version in HMV etc with "UNCUT VERSION" plastered on the cover. Mine doesn't have that - are they the same or is it a re-issue?

I think this is great news! As a jay z fan I would say that, but even you are not, a modern score will give it a new feel. The only bad thing about is the truly awful soundtrack. Anyway I'm sure u will have the option of playing the new or original soundtrack, so everyone will be happy!
