:?: im having trouble with the xbox360 controler for windows. i havent had my pc long so i dont know a right lot about them. iv bought this controler for the pc and i cant get it to work. i now you have to program the keys in to the controler so you can use it. i cant find any menu to let me do that. iv loaded the software for the gamepad into the computer ok

Have you tried to set up the controller under
Control Panel--> Game Controllers --> Properties of the intalled controller.

or if this doesnt work for you,
sometimes you get with the software you install, a gamepad configurer.

Hope that helps.

Did you install the drivers correctly first? Or did you just plug it into the USB port first?

I've also found in the past that the game has to support the use of a gamepad for you to get it to work properly (for example, Halo).

i know i put the controller in first. After reading up on it i realised iv done it the wrong way round. though cos its testing ok i thought it would be ok. so il remove it and try again. i only got one disk with mine is that right

No idea (I ain't got one), but I do know that you need to install the software first. You can also download it from here:

I got one, I just plugged it in, went into device manager and got XP to find the drivers automatically online and that was it..works fine. I then installed the software later on, but it doesn't really make much difference.
