I asked this question a while ago and no-one bothered replying.
But, I've done a little research and the only other decent alternative appears to be the JVC AV28WFT1(there's also a Hitachi model available for around £500 which has been recommended by a few folk but I can't remember the model number).
I've done a little checking and Costco have the JVC for £458.96 incl VAT (I'm picking mine up tomorrow).
I was interested in the Samsung originally but after looking at the JVC thats the one I'm going for. The 32" version of the JVC got 5 stars and it has the same features as the 28".

Thanks for the reply :) I'll have a look at the JVC as well (do you know how it differs from the Samsung?)
cheers
Hmmm , I'm looking at this model : SAMSUNG WS28W8VNE8
QED have it for just over £450 notes and IMO it looks much nicer than the JVC....
Anyone any thoughts?
