HELP with Taskbar in XP

Hey guys and girls, was wondering if you could help me.

For some reason when I switched on the computer today the taskbar started to play up. It does not display the programs I have opened.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Does a reboot not cure the problem?

Do you get the menu when you right click on it?

No the reboot doesn't cure it. The other user on XP doesn't have this problem and all the settings on the task bar are the same.

Sounds like something gets loaded which interferes with the taskbar operation/explorer process. Maybe some spyware/adware etc?

To prove this, try starting up in safe mode (press F8 as Windows starts to load).

Ok, booted it in safe mode but it still doesn't work... this is very odd... It has never happened before...

Can you do a screenprint so we can see whats happening?

You accidentally dragged it so you cant see anything have you? or expanded one of the toolbars too much?
