View Full Version : Just bought a record deck any good online vinyl retailers new or 2nd hand.
Bought myself a nice record deck as I fancied listening to some good old vinyl again.
If anyone has any info on online retailers etc would be most greatful.
Thanks.

http://www.funrec.de/shop/ have loads of stuff - although the last time I used them I was overcharged 1000%
Try and find second hand record shops or record (& CD) fairs as you can find some mint quality vinyl to buy. You'll probably won't get cheap bargains like in second hand and / or charity shops, but good condition old vinyl is there to be found.
I've collected the vinyl releases of Alice Cooper over the last few years and the sound of these big round things is superb.

What genres do you like? Dealers tend to be specialist these days.

I like www.piccadillyrecords.co.uk
http://www.sisterray.co.uk/ is very good I find but be careful of the packing costs, ...
http://www.selectadisc.co.uk/ This site seems to be down at the moment, but, charmingly, they only do vinyl by mail order just to make life difficult for themselves. New and secondhand.
Vinyl seems to be the new CD....

Don't forget eBay, just started buying vinyl again after a 14 year break.
I have been looking on ebay and picked up a compliation called 'age of atlantic' which has the likes of led zep, delanley and bonnie with eric clapton, dr john, yes and the allman brothers to name a few.
Cost me £0.99p plus p and p which was more than the lp.
It has been about 13 years since I last listened to vinyl.
HMV online are good for new Vinyl releases.
