Please tell me this is just idle internet gossip.

The Matrix 2 & 3: The Irish Press are hinting that the 19-year-old Dublin singer Samantha Mumba is tipped to takeover Aaliyah's role of Zee.

Don't get me wrong i don't hate her i just think she has ZERO charisma and no 'X' factor that these so called popstar are suppossed to have. Unless she pulls a cat out of a bag in the Time Machine and shows she can do it i think this 'could' be a bad move.

Still i'm sure it's only speculation/publicity stunt/rumour. You get my drift.;)

Neither has Keanu Reeves but it didn't stop the first one being a hit.

I didnt even know Aaliyah was in any of the sequels. But i do believe that putting in Samantha Mumba would be a baaaaaaad idea.

What's wrong with Samantha Mumba? I think she's beautiful. She may or may not be able to act, but look where it got Keanu Reeves.

They got the same problem with the oracle too, she died about a month ago
I heard they didn't have much left too film for the second one and the directors are considering doing what they did with oliver reed in gladiator as a tribute (computer Generated Aaliyah and oracle).

What is it with having pop stars in this new matrix movie? Are they going to be singing in the movie or something?
If not then why not get an unknown?

Or are the waschokis(sp) trying to use this as an opportunity to get laid? ;)
