Highlander Season 1 boxset

After hearing that the Highlander season 1 boxset was being released in December, i kept an eye out for it on all the usual retailers websites, but it never appeared, visited the Digital Bits website today to see that they had posted an interview with Bill Panzer, where he informs the public that they are only selling the boxset through the official website. :eek:

Being a big fan of the show, I checked out how much it would cost to get it shipped to the U.K., $129 + $37 postage, thats £116 :eek: & thats before you add the inevitable custom charges.

& there are 6 seasons in total, as much as I would like to get these, at that price, I don't think I'll bother.:(

Yeah, I was surprised as well to find them already released, but I don't want to pay retail price on that, even though shipping is of course much lower.

Maybe it will show up at some other retailers, otherwise there are much better series to collect, like Star Trek TNG, Stargate, Total Recall 2070, Dark Angel, Farscape, and upcoming Babylon 5.

Don't expect the boxset(s) to appear from any of the usual retailers. They've never released the VHS sets to be sold from anywhere but the official site. I'm gonna keep an eye on the auction sites.

Still a bit on the expensive side, but Disc Emporium are selling the first season for £94.99.

I am off to Canada in March, so any Forums Brothers or Sisters want me to keep an eye open for it in the canadian shops, let me know, I could proberbly get it back cheaper than the retailers with no customs charges.

It's a shame since it's shows like this that need some support... it was a classic and had some great story arcs... I'll prolly grab it from ********* if they have it, and I think they do.... but it'll be after the Xbox is released
