Decided to top off her Xmas pressies to get the girlfriend a copy of Reservoir Dogs... Thing is i havent a scooby whats the best region/supplier of this title... Play have both in stock but there is only about a couple of squid difference in it.

The best version will almost certainly be the R1 10th anniversary special edition to be released by Artisan during 2002.

Perhaps you could buy it for her next year ;)

You may or may not know the R2 is not that bad- trailer, Tarantino introduction and 25 minutes Tarantino interview. But I'd say hold on for the SE:D

R2 is anamporphic, but the R1 isn't. i think a lot of high-street shops are seeling it for about £10 now anyway :)

Seriously though, I'd wait for the new edition, but if you have to have one by xmas, the region 1 is non-anamorphic but 5.1, whereas the region 2 is anamorphic but only 2.0, so i'd get whatever would benefit you the most :)

The film was only recorded in stereo anyway, so it's not as if you're losing anything with the 2.0 mix.
