Live in the US and would like to watch European formats on my Zone 1-only DVD player.
Any suggestions ?

If you didn't buy kit with the idea of playing european DVDs in mind, you'll probably find that your existing kit cannot do the job.

The vast majority of American TVs cannot accept a PAL signal for two reasons, firstly there isn't as much call for this sort of thing stateside and secondly, PAL equipment is very much more expensive for technical reasons.

All is not lost, I have heard that there are some American DVD players that will play a European DVD and output it in real NTSC although the picture is not as good as if you had a PAL compliant TV, at leat it works.
