ooh, seamless branching?

i thought R2 seamless branching wasn't possible due to the fact that the only studios capable of it were in the US?

My understanding of it was that the R2 manufacturing plant that could make the seamless branching discs was booked up until 2003 !
No idea which disc were booked to be produced there.

Momentum couldn't do seamless branching on T2 because they are only willing to use their own mastering/replication centre that is in Germany. Other European centres can do it (even the BBC have done it with Dr Who The Ark in Space)

US capacity for seamless branching is fully pre-booked to 2003 as studios pre-plan releases and requirements. (a lot of discs in the US use non-seamless/seamless branching even though they don't get identified as such because it's used for alternative language titles etc.

The R2 doesnt have 'seemless branching', it has 'integrated branching'.
Theres a difference.
'seemless branching' is where the extra footage is inserted back into the movie in such a way that it becomes unnoticable.
'integrated branching' is where the extra footage is inserted non-seemlessly, so you notice a pause & possibly a layer change between the extra footage and the original footage.
