Has anyone had any experiences with portable DVD players (the ones which include an LCD screen)?
I was thinking of treating myself to one as i'm away for christmas and would like some advice on which ones are the best.
Any advice on this would be much appreciated. :)

Try this one... http://homepages.force9.net/grahamash/magic/lv60.html

I've had the Panasonic LV75 for 18 months now and I'm very happy with it. Newer models have a larger screen but I don't know how the battery life compares - I get about 3.5 - 4 hours
You can hook it up with S-Video connector, optical digital or use the 5.1 channel output via 3 jack connections. The speakers aren't very good at low frequencies to get a decent pair of headphones. I use Beyer Dynamic DT231s (about £40) which are relatively small but produce great sound and bass (recommended 2 years running by What HiFi).
Hope that helps!
