In the planning stages of a site at the moment and want a bulletin board on there as well as giving users the ability to post comments to site pages (not the bb), change site preferences etc using the same login board logon credentials.

For example the Forums and DVD Times are linked (in a way) but require seperate accounts. I'm after giving someone the ability to go to the site, login, post a comment to an article, then move to the forum and they can post straight away because they logged in before?

Any suggestions as to which board software offers this as an option? Or any code out there which already supports it for a particular board (like a plug in?)

Thanks

phpBB has some modifications for something like this I believe. It is the best forum software after vbulletin. Such a huge community there is basically nothing you can't do with it!

Cheers mate.

Found this (http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article.php?article_id=143) in the knowledge base which covers what I'm after.

monkeyCMS supports vBulletin and phpBB logins, but it's not even in the next round of beta yet so probably isn't any use to you now.
