Hey all,

i recently got a goodmans 3500pk, which comes with its own speakers, and because of this, the audio is played through the speakers and not the TV. I need to find a way to be able to get audio through the tv so i can plug some headphones in (as i dont want to wake the rest of the family at night). Anyone know of a way of doing this without disconnecting all the other speaker connections in the back of the dvd player please?

Thanks for any help

Would I be right in guessing that there is a headphone socket on the TV but not on the DVD player then? If so, you should be getting sound coming through the TV anyway, if you have hooked it up using a SCART cable or similar. If not, this may be because the player is using it's own speakers by default.

I would expect it comes down to the ability of the player to re-direct audio from the speakers to the SCART output socket. This will be somewhere in the setup menu of the player itself. Once this is set the speakers should fall silent and the TV carry the sound output. Then just plug the 'phones into the TV.

The turning off of the speakers and on of the SCART socket may be independent of course.
