when i try to run the .exe a dos prompt screen flashs up for about a mili-second then disappears...
i really need to install this so i can get the .gz files to enable me to play them on my new SPV M500 phone.......

Try searching Google with the text of your thread title, quite a few launchers etc listed

Right click on the install file, pick the compatibility tab and try running it as Win 95 to see if that works.

Dosbox (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/) - class program. Can slow it down if your processor is too fast to run it as a sensible speed.

I've never had a problem running Duke Nukem 3D on XP without using a program such as Dosbox.

Well you'd best be popping down your newsagents for a pack of juicy fruit before you start then! :D There's a 'proper' 3D engine of Duke3D available for Windows anyway, called glDuke or something.

Remember the old Quake vs Duke rivalry ?
Quake was unbeaten for deathmatch, but Dukes single player blew Quake out the water.

Still waiting for Duke Nukem Forever :|

Brilliant!!!! Just spent the evening playing jfduke3d with the hires graphics with a m8 coop. Brings it all back, can even remember the levels like the back of my hand - though got stuck in a couple of confusing bits.
Can't seem to get it to patch to atomic though some only using 1.3d Soooo want to play the supermarket level. Running the installer of the plutonium pak cd gives not enough mem, downloaded ppack15.exe thats supposed to get round it but get patch failed, need to try some more things though.....

I remember the sheer joy of fooling my mate using the holo-duke..!
We used to play on my pc hooked up to his laptop using a 'null-modem'. There was an offer with the game to buy a 25ft one for something like a tenner. My first experience of multi player gaming on a PC and it was bloody amazing...!

I'm going to rip off your head and **** down your neck :D
Ah, they don't make em like that any more :notworthy
Never got it working properly under raw XP though. I did try with Dosbox but it had problems with the audio and would only run in slow motion.
