View Full Version : One Night At McCool's commentary?

I've been hearing that the R1 US DVD of One Night At McCool's contains a commentary track from the director, and that the R1 Canadian version doesn't. Well, my copy doesn't, but I can find no evidence on it to suggest it's a Canadian release. No Canadian ratings stickers, no 'Manufactured for Sale and Rental in Canada only' notices (or whatever they say), and the fact that it has both French AND Spanish as subtitle options (or language tracks, I can't quite remember) suggests that this is a US disc, not Canadian.

Now, can anyone say for SURE that the US version is supposed to have a commentary track, or is that just info taken off of online DVD store descriptions that may be false (or true only at the time of going to press originally, if you take my meaning)? I got the disc from *********, who I think supply both Canadian and US releases - it varies. The DVD code is 96306 0028-2. Has anyone got a different release?

Otherwise, top-notch movie and disc!

My US copy (from Amazon) has not got a commentary though the site stated that it did. Now i'm not saying i bought it just for the commentary but i was a bit pizzed off when i found there wasn't one.

the last time this came up, some one said the commentary was on one of the extras (deleted footage or something?), not the actual main feature.

Cheers, this clears the matter up I think. I guess that the site info was just plain wrong, and I have got the most complete version (what other version is there, after all?)

*breathes a sigh of relief* I don't think I could have gone through the hassle of selling it and purchasing a different version.
