terminator 2 special edition

hi,

a while ago my mate had the T2 SE R1 and it showed an extended ending in the future when john conor was about 40, only lasted about a minute but ive bought the region 2 and it doesnt seem to be on here, not exactly the ultimate special edition if it doesnt contain this ! just wondering if anyone new anyway to view the full direcotrs cut on the R2..?

ok just been reading ure supposed to be able to press the keys 8-2-9-9-7 and another menu pops up, well i have windvd 2 and jack happens when i enter this although i cant enter the dashes becuase there aint any on the keypad... ??? anyone know how to do this as i like the extra 2 scenes it adds in...

and later,......... worked out how to get onto the extra menu but wheres the option of watching the entire film with those scenes included... grrr

If you've got the R2 version I'm afraid you can't watch the film with the Future coda ending.
The R1 version uses a technology called seamless branching that enables you to watch 3 different versions of the film, actually it's one basic version with various additional scenes seamlessly intergrated to make the additional versions. Whatever, the R2 version couldn't be/wasn't authored to work this way, bummer:mad:
Do yourself a favour buy the U.S./Canada version.

To add further what sanejo has said you can only view the added scenes that are in the R1 Ultimate Edition as deleted scenes on the R2 edition.

I think the R2 version wouldn't have been out for a long time if they had waited to put the seamless branching in. So they opted to release it now and only have the extra scenes as standalone sequences.
