View Full Version : Pearl Harbor - 4 disc Vista edition bumped again!
Just read on DVD File.com that the 4-disc Vista edition of Pearl Harbor has been bumped again by Buena Vista to the second half of 2002! No doubt they're trying to milk sales of the standard editions before releasing this one.
Not a happy bunny.

4 discs! http://pages.zoom.co.uk/robs/smileys/devil_wow.gif
What movie is going to be the 1st to get 5 discs then, my bet is Lord Of The Rings. :D
LOL, 2 discs for the film (and it's DTS track); another for a 2 hour making-of documentary; another for a 90 min making-of for the whole trilogy and a fifth for all the other extras (I wish).:D
...But they'll bring out a single disk version first with no DTS and only the EPK as an extra.:brickwall

If you pop over to the home theater forums you can read why this is taking so long and why it is 4disks from the producer the great David Prior
Cheers:)

Hmm...much as I like the film, there does come a point where you can't help but ask <i>why</i> exactly it takes around 18 months to do the DVD version of the film when equally impressive DVDs (<i>Moulin Rouge, Planet of the Apes</i>) are released in rather less time...

Does anyone know about the Japanese R2 NTSC release. I'm sure I saw on the posters that it was going to be 3 discs when it came out (about a week before it came out everywhere else...).

Well, they would have to offer me the disc with another one for me to get it anyway and it would end up as a coaster!

how different is the DC to theatrical ? does anyone know the altered / added scenes ?
i havent seen PH, cos those cheesball conversations between Affleck and Kate Beckinsale make me cringe. i dont intend to watch the theatrical in future either, just interested to know what the DC is all about.

According to Michael Bay, there is a lot more action, less lovey-dovey scenes and a shot of Kate Beckinsale's arse! :D More of a bloke's movie to sum it up!
David Prior says there aint much, just a few snipits here and there.
The whole film aint been changed at all, nor re-edited just alittle stuff added.
Cheers
