Many of my wants have been mentioned a few times already, But one that I haven't heard anything about in ages is Ridley Scott's 'LEGEND'.

This was due out over a year ago and put on hold. Hopefully it'll arrive sometime in 2002 - earlier the better!

Isn't the reason Lucas is releasing AOTC theatrically simultaneous-worldwide so they can get the
DVD out for December worldwide too? If so, that's number one. Also - odd that no-one has mentioned BAND OF BROTHERS yet. That shames any movie i've seen this year. Bring on that 4-disc set, pleeeeeeeease!:)

mikegray
13-12-2001, 16:54
Well, my pre-orders (already placed) and "must-haves" for next year (pending some kind of financial miracle!) look something like this:

TV Series:

Futurama Season One (ordered)
Simpsons Seasons 2 and 3 (should both be next year)
Angel Season 2 (and 3?)
Buffy Seasons 4&5
Frasier
Star Trek TNG
Sex And The City Season 3
Friends Season 8 [3 Discs not 6, please, please...]
Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy

[So that should set me back about a million quid, then!]

Films:

Kurt & Courtney (R2)
Memento (R2)
Rock Star (R1)
American Pie 2 (U/R W/S R1)
Jeepers Creepers (R1)
Ghost World (R1)
Storytelling (R2 - US Was cut to ribbons, wasn't it?)
Amelie (R2, I guess will be first to have English subs)
Chasing Amy (R2 from HMV)
Robocop Trilogy (R2 already ordered from Mr. Ringo)
Jay & Silent Bob
Sophie B Hawkins - The Cream Will Rise Documentary
From Hell
The Hole
Harry Potter
Fellowship Of The Ring
Me Without You

Under consideration:
Shallow Hal
Riding In Cars With Boys
Domestic Disturbance
Don't Say A Word

--

There, that should keep the Visa company happy for another year.
:brickwall

Yeah, and Back To The Future Trilogy

This thread probably is worth dragging up again, if only to show the trap of people going ga-ga over new releases that are, let's face it, not worth it a few months after.

Seeing releases such as Final Fantasy, Jurassic Park III and Jay & Silent Bob mentioned, suggests that if you merely wait six months to a year you could get the three for the same price as you would pay for one initially.
