The link has the Nokia 6630 for free on Talk and text 600 on a 12 month contract....
first three months are half price by 3.
On month 8, 10 and 18 u will get a cheque after cash back for £105 eact time
yes month 18 even though it is a 12 month contract you have to wait till month 18 to send in ur 11th and 12th bill... just a way of making money, because they think people will forget. You can read the PDF on the website.
so
1st 3 months = 15*3 = £45 (as its half price by 3)
remaining 9 months = 30*9= £270
total =£315
Cashback months 8,10,18 = 105+105+105 = £315
Now they had special offer ending today extra £50 when you send in month 1 and 3 bill in and if you go through ****** (cashback company) you also get another £25
The link for £50 off phones today (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/click^QS^p=1470^QA^a=60823^QA^g=35293^QA^url=http%3A//www.thelink.com/)
so if you want the 6630 its free and your £75 in your pocket but yeh after 18 months thats when you get all the money in....
Now if you also want to add a Telcom BT500 bluetooth headset which is free if you get the video bundle which includes 20 mins video calls a month and 20 Video messgaes and also content download for £5 you need to stick at this for 6 month at least so 5*5= £25 as 1st month is free for bluetooth, or look at all all free for a year and £75-25 =£50 in your pocket.... :notworthy
Ends today I kno 3 is :gag: but not bad if you want a nice nokia instead of an lg :n0rty: also you can add tomtom to this phone :p

 its on the main page.... ive added a link for that abvove aswell
cancel that just looked on home page !
Doh !
You need a till receipt to claim the cashback. How to get it if u order online?
Hmm, where do they confirm the cash back deal? Once it is in my basket there is no mention...
None left now.. Are there any similar dels about?
It let me put 2 in my basket, then go through about a gazillion pages putting details in for credit checks etc....
Then after the final "Confirm order".....
"Sorry, due to high demand ..............."
Thx to OP, great spot if I can catch it at the right moment....

this sounds good and that, but am i being cynical suggesting that they'll have some form of get-out clause if you don't keep the contract for the 18 months before your last cashback? I know it'll probably be a technicality, but then you're down £180 if it is the case.

I don't understand this statement, if you don't get the last cheque back surely you only miss out on £105. So at the worst your phone cost £105 and that's still cheaper than the "pay as you go" price for the phone.

I hear ya dizzy, but I don't know if people would be up for this if it was £105. I'm not denying its bargalaciousness for those in the know, I just wonder whether there's some uber-small print that says if you want the last bit of cashback, you have to stick it out.
£180 was the 6 months at £30 but I guess it would be £130 instead eh? Since I have no idea what the company ****** is.

it looks like its gone now... i got my 2nd mail so fingers crossed.... they have gone and come so might come again.... its also posted over at MSE aswell others there and myself have confirmed via email phone that u can cancel after 12 months .... last cashbak u must send 11th and 12th bill at 18 months so not 17 and 18 so ur in ur pocket....
How good is this phone ? the more i look at it the bigger it gets. Any photo's of some one holding it in hand ?
Remember all - if you decide you're going to forget to put your claim in after 18 months, just take the phone and everything with it in an undamaged state to a Link shop within 14 days (distance selling regs).
edit: the box/packaging can be opened, but not any seal around software discs. It's just the phone and accessories that need to be pristine.

I have my phone now, but there is no contract, no receipt (supposedly to follow) and no mention of the cash back offer. I am reluctant to start using the phone with confirmation of the details. Did anybody received documentation about cash back with the phone?
ought you ought to have downloaded a PDF from the website, I have it saved if you want a copy. The receipt is sent seperate to the phone.

the companies hardly ever sent out cashback details
you have to print them off the web site and keep it with your contract.
thanks for the replies.. but how I do I know they will cough up the cash back in however many months time when I have no paperwork mentioning it?

thanks for the replies.. but how I do I know they will cough up the cash back in however many months time when I have no paperwork mentioning it?Don't worry about it, mate. They'll cough up the cash as long as you stick completely to the terms of the cashback (ie, send them the right stuff at the right time by recorded delivery!)
My receipt/invoice arrived about a week after I received my phone. Yours should arrive sometime next week if you just received the phone yesterday.
Like everyone else, I wasn't sent anything about the cashback deal along with the phone. I just downloaded the forms off the site.
moeman appears to have the form that you need. My forms were for the same phone deal the previous week. I'm not sure if they are suitable for you (different dates), but I'm happy to send you them if need be.
Edit: If you ordered the phone over the weekend of 6 and 7 November, my forms will suit you.
Picked this up from another forum originally but I have to say this is a superb phone - my first smartphone.
Anyone have suggestions for apps or other cool stuf I can load onto it? Any good forums that support it (other than 3G which is pretty quiet)?

Thank you muchly for that, though I bought mine in November.
It is a bit crafty of them to make you wait 6 months to claim back the last chunck though. I assume you dont have to be connected still in month 18?
you can cancel at 12 months.

There was another similar offer this weekend only at TheLink (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/click^QS^p=1470^QA^a=60823^QA^g=35293) 18 month contract on tmobile with a Motorola E1 ROKR (iTuners phone). £29 per month etc... as I say was for the weekend only though :( (although its still on their main page if you fancy a punt) suprised this was never on these boards over the weekend tbh.

Make sure that you try and get a long standing dealership if possible as some companies have been known to go pop b4 they pay up your cashback... should never have any problems with The Link (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/click^QS^p=1470^QA^a=60823^QA^g=35293), E2Save.com (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/click^QS^p=14992^QA^a=60823^QA^g=99367) and Mobileshop they are part of bigger groups and have been around for some time.
I got Nokia 7600 from a post on here last Christmas and have had no problems getting my cash back from E2Save.com (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/click^QS^p=14992^QA^a=60823^QA^g=99367).

Hi Guys, is the next bill we receive the first one that we need to keep?
It's the 6th and 8th Bills that need to be sent in for the first redemption and I haven't kept my older bills. So I've sort of lost track

10 June-10 July 2006 : Send 6th (dated 10 April 2006) and 8th (dated 10 June 2006) "3" bills to The Link for £105 cashback. Include copy of sales receipt.

It's already bundled it up with my completed voucher, copy sales receipt and my April bill ready to be posted by Recorded Signed For on Monday.
I've never read of any one accusing The Link of cashback shennanagins (unlike OSPS, e2save, etc), so I hope the cashback goes trouble-free.
Got my first £105 back today, well chuffed!
Woohoo! :)

Got my cashback for a diff phone from the link yesterday as well!
Just noticed they have 14 phones with up to 10 months free (most are 12 month contracts on O2 and refurbished phones though)...
Might get another one considering my SPV C550 has broken beyond all repair....
Time to collect the second Cashback Cheque I believe
James
Royal Mail managed to deliver my cashback 4 days late despite sending by recorded delivery in good time. The Link paid up though.
Result there!
I'm a little concerned. I can't find last months bill and I'm pretty sure I binned it last week during a bit of a clearout.
James
Get on to 3 straight away they're good at sending out copies IME.
After your suggestion, taking a look at their website, I've just discovered you can download a PDF of your bills online!
Awesome!
Cheers
James
They get knocked a lot but they are the only phone co that I've used (all but O2) that can give you real time info on remaining minutes etc. Pretty impressive.
Finally got cheque number 2 today. Took way longer than the last one and was getting worried it wouldn't arrive at all.
Happy Chappy!
James
PS. Post 1000! At last, took a long while to get here after my black book entry! :)
Sent mine off a week ago - I got it in the second offer so I'm not late.

Just a quick reminder for anyone who took out this deal to think about making that all important end of month 11 cancellation phone call.
You've got to give "3" at least 30 days notice of cancellation.
I phoned up to cancel my contract tonight and, afer reading about the non-handset retention deals being offered by "3" on another forum, I decided to stick with them for another 12 months.
Basically, they've reduced my package to 100 anytime mins and 100 texts/month for £20/month. They've given me £235 credit up front on my bill, so I really only have to pay a fiver for the whole year.
I'm happy with the handset and the inclusive minutes are more than enough for me.
This was the first time that I've had to call "3" customer service and, after reading some horror stories about them, I was expecting the worst, but they were surprisingly good.
Just a quick reminder for anyone who took out this deal to think about making that all important end of month 11 cancellation phone call.
Good point. Need another 12 month free deal now pref. with 3.

For those not wanting to cancel this 3 are offering 2 retention deals right now
T&T 200 and T&T 300
T&T 200 crediting your account £235 at the start of the new contract and billing you £20/month on 12month contract for 100mins and 100sms so that it works out at £5 total for all 12months of T&T200 rental.
T&T 300 I am not clear on how it works, I assume through similar credit system, but works out ultimately at costing £5/month last month free for 200mins and 100sms so £55ish for all 12months of T&T300 rental.
The 1st I can gurantee is real direct from 3 as I have taken it up myself.
Thanks for the info - if I went with one of these deals at least I wouldn't have to look around for another phone for GPS. Worth thinking about.

£40 GPS Bluetooth device and tomtom for Series60 would work on your 6630 if you wanted. Not the biggest of screens tho.
The new Nokia N95 with 5mp camera, GPS, HSDPA etc looks like the daugs ballericks, wait for that next year? :)

That's what I have and I have to say it is terrific, the screen size doesn't seem limited at all.
Rather get off Nokia though, I really don't like the menus. I want a new free phone! ;)
Time to send in the last 2 bills.
If I am correct, septamber and october bills are required for the last cheque.

Thanks a pristine print out - so there should be no complaints.
I still have this 6630 (which is unusual for me but I use it for GPS) what did everyone else do? Thinking of paying to get it unlocked then using it as a PAYG - is it worth it? Past time to end the contract though.
I moved to the Direct Text 1400 bundle in November and upgraded to the N80.
Great deal. And especially good right now as you can get it for £17.50 for 18 months with some phones and that's good for 300 minutes and 1000 texts.
I also added the X-series add on. Unlimited internet usage for an extra £5

I called "3" to end the contract after the 12 months and they offered me a retention deal.
Basically, it'll cost me a fiver for 100 minutes and 100 texts per month for a year. They credited my account with £235 and deduct £20 each month. I'll have a fiver to pay on my last month.
I could hardly refuse the deal.
Give them a call and see if they offer you the same deal.
