well, the story goes like this, i have had my crystal xbox for a year, and i still have over 45 games to play through on it, inc. conkers bfd, the warriors, links 2004, san andreas....
now i pre ordered a 360 a few weeks back, and since then have been pratically guarenteed it for launch. but there is no launch games i am intrested in no more. i really wanted dead rising, but thats been held back.
now for the last 30 mins of so, i have started to want a psp, for the new gta and burnout prob. money aint really an issue cos i have £360+ budget. and i have a small 50htz tv, thats been pushing me away from a 360 as well.

also, my new pc (1 month old) ismore than capable at the mo to run stuff like quake 4, call of duty 2, rome total war, unreal 2004 (set on highest - everything.)
specs
amd 64 3500
1 gig ram
nvidia 512mb graphics ( 2 256mb 6600's running at sli.)
Tough one TBH - problem with the PSP is that it can become a novelty more than an essential gaming device rather quickly. So it depends how much you want Portable Gaming?
Me? I'd snag me an X360 for sure but then I just love new generation consoles :D
Get the 360 at launch.
Flog it for profit on Fleabay. Buy a PSP with some of the funds. Buy the 360 when all the fussed has died down and more games are out early next year.

Nah, just sell the box on eBay ;)

45 games to play through! As in you've never really got that far in them?
Why bother getting the new one? You'll probably only do the same thing, surely?

thats why i have cancelled my pre order.
I would class myself as an avid gamer (I have owned nearly every console known to man), and i was a PSP owner a fews days after the US launch, it got used heavily whilst on holiday and left to gather dust after that.
Needless to say it has now been sold, this was only due to two key facts:
- I never played it (Prefer to play on my 32" WS)
- I sold it for more than i payed for it
TBH only get a PSP if you use train/bus to go to work etc, because you will never use it.
Regardless of your TV size you will be better off with a 360, if you decide you dont like it sell it......people will probably chew your right arm off to get one shortly after launch and you may make some money on it.
Just my 2 cents worth :)

I hardly touched my PSP after buying it UNTIL I went on Holiday for 2 weeks, whereby it became very useful (Games and MP3 player)
I didn't really play it after coming back, But i've been playing it a lot over the last 4 days because of Grand Theft Auto.
I should probably leave it until I goto Thailand next year, but i'm sure there will be another must have game by then.

I play my PSP almost every day but that's because I find it an excellent device during 'toilet breaks' !!

I love my PSP , but it just sits in my top draw 90% of the time, as I have a PC / Xbox /Game cube for gaming in the house tbh.
thought i would play it more chilling out in bed etc, but just do not seem to use it.
But then, the Xbox 360 has no mush have launch titles for me, i would buy a 360, the ebay it before crimbo and keep the profit for a new tv . . .
I bought a PSP at launch but ended up selling it as apart from the sexiness factor it was just more of the same, felt like I was just playing P22 portsand given that I was just using it round the house I figured I might as well be playin the games on PS2 instead. So I sold it and stuck to my DS which I luuuurrrrrve! Will probably get another in the future though as there are a few games like GTA that interest me.
My advice.... get a DS if you've not got one, then you can still afford the Xbox 360 too...

Well, if you have cancelled your 360 pre-order, you're pretty much buggered if you want one now anyway. Had a Advance SP.....trouble is unless you travel/commute a lot, a handheld isn't going to get much playtime regardless of how many bells and whistles it has.
My advice is to buy a better TV first of all :) Then buy a 360 next year when Dead Rising (which looks fantastic) is released.
do you spend an awful lot of time on the toilet? if the answer is yes then get a PSP. Otherwise get a 360.

After the initial excitement wore off I pretty much completely forgot about the PSP. Lost interest totally.
Haven't even touched it in at least three months, in fact, I'm not even sure where it is
I am still awaiting delivery for mine from AudioCubes
I am getting one to replace my Portable DVD player, as I spend 3 hours on a train each day.
So now I will be able to play top games and watch movies.

i have cancleed my deposit, for 2 reasons. the 2 game games i want are now delayed, morrowind and dead rising. a psp is quite handy, for days when i have 2-3 hours off at uni, another reason is my 50htz little telly. i cant afford to upgrade it atm.
i have ordered the white giga pack from audiocubes, my order is now processing
