Future DVD Players

Considering Practically nobody has a pro-logic amp with 6-channel inputs and has not already upgraded to Dolby Digital/DTS why are manufacturers still putting in built in decoders in there DVD players. :confused:
Should they not include something usefull like Pro-Logic 2? which most people don't have.

Also does anyone know if it's possible to get a standalone Pro-logic 2 Decoder?

there's no point putting PL2 decoders in dvd players cos dvd's don't support it (and theres no point supporting it as DD and DTS are both superior)
