Yeah! Really impressive! Not the biggest White Stripes fan but after seeing them on telly at Glastonbury in the summer I decided I deffo wanted to see them live and wasn't disappointed at all! They did a long set and the raw energy they create is superb.
I hadn't realised that they use Meg's bouncing boobs as their metronome though!

LOL
Definitely no bra there!
It was an awesome gig.
I remember "Three Quid" ;) singing a few lines from a Beatles song over one of their songs near the beginning of the set. Don't suppose you can remember what it was??
I was there - amazing as usual. Sorry, don't recall the Beatles lines....
Going to Ally Pally on Wednesday too!
Was there also! What a gig! I was really impressed! I liked the second support band also, very kings of leon! The first band was terrible! Went to get beers during their set!

Any one seen the new video.
it's one of Micheal Gondreys strange dream/one take videos and it's a contender for video of the year.
Ooh, glad to hear Michel Gondry's back on the scene - will have to keep an eye out.

Just got back from the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool. Top night and the White Stripes were superb. Pity about the children at the front of the audience who were intent on spoiling it - to the extent that they shouted "Stripes" throughout the supports performance and even throwing their beer bottles at the bassist, narrowly missing him. *****.

Went to both Blackpool shows! Amazing stuff, I thought the moving to the side stage at the end was a bit stupid though almost got crushed with everyone moving. Must have been a surprise for anyone standing at the side though

Yep, also went to the Blackpol gig, and they certainly did rock. I was really impressed with them live, and there is something about meg on the drums :luv:

Cheers.

Cheers Rik.
Haven't heard anything else about them, so might check them out anyway. There's always the bar if they aren't up to much :)
Yeah, The Greenhornes. In London, there was a second act, David D....(something, sorry can't remember his surname!).
Btw, have now seen that vid for The Denial Twist. OMG! What a vid! My head hurts....
Michel Gondry rocks.

David Dulake? Didn't see him but IMO the Greenhornes are quite good value if you like that whole 60s Nuggets-y thing.

Really enjoyed last night's gig, although I've seen them better.
GinSoakedGirl made a comment about 3 Quid's trousers at one point which summed up the performance as a whole... "They're not as tight as last year."
Enjoyed the Greenhornes as well. Its been a long time since I've actually enjoyed a support act. Well, unless I've gone specifically to see them.
