my uncle has this dvd player and i wanted to lend some region 1 dvd's to them..... is there a multi region hack? or are they better off buying a replacement player? if so, which is a good cheap optin right now?
thanks all
AFAIK there are no 'normal' remote hacks for any Panny players, however all is not lost as, for example, you could order a 'single use' special remote from the likes of forum sponsors DVD Chips (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump.php?url=http://www.dvdchips.co.uk) to get the job done :)
Would seem a bit extreme to me, to have to buy a new player if the other works fine as it is.
I'm not 100% sure, but I would think that the Panny would output an NTSC signal for region 1 disks [when modified as above] So, his TV would need to be able to handle an NTSC signal as well.

it seems a little crazy to pay £23.50 for a remote to make the player mulit region when i could probably get another (already mulit region) player for £35 or less... they'd then have two players for about the same cost and the panasonic could go in the bedroom or something........
thanks anyway
