PLEASE tell me that the R4 Night On Earth isn't full-frame (as suggested by the box) while R2 is a nice anamorphic 1.85:1.

Please? Someone? Anyone? :(

Well the box says that it's 4:3 full Frame, so I guess it must be a pan and scan version. It's a shame because I hated the r2 version because of the burned-in subtitles. And the r4 cover is really cool aswell.

The R4 turns out to be non-anamorphic 1.66:1 (or 1.55:1, or something), and has burned-in subs as well (they were an important part of the film originally, I guess, and as it's only for segments of the film, they probably figured it made more sense to do it that way), so apart from the nicer R4 cover, it looks like the 1.85:1 anamorphic R2 has everything going for it.

Sigh....

Yeah well they labelled the box 4:3 as well but I'm looking at an approximately 1.66:1 image. Looks like they just couldn't be bothered getting anything about this release right.
