Nightmare Before Christmas which region?

Which is the best region of The Nightmare Before Christmas Special Edition?

I heard the R1 version isn't anamorphic, but is in the correct aspect ratio, and has DTS. And I heard the R2 version isn't in the original aspect ratio doesn't have DTS, but is anamorphic and has more extras?

So any advice about what region to get is appreciated.

the correct AR is gorgeous and an anamorphic transfer would not necessarily be appropriate for this - the R1 is stunning. Add to that the DTS track and you're on to a winner already!

I wasn't aware that the R2 had more extra's although I'm sure someone in the know can pop in here.......

Hello, Both the same apart from:

R1- Non-anamorphic BUT with DTS

R2- No DTS BUT Anamorphic.

Not too sure about the wrong aspect ratio, never noticed the difference,- I had R1 then now own the R2. :confused:

yep discs are identical bar the dts anamorphic bits... I also had region 1 but replaced with region 2 when the new special edition came out - liked the box ;) Also My tv wasn't NTSC so the PAL picture quality was much better for me. If that's not a issue I'ld go for whichever is cheapest :D
