What's the earliest we can expect to see PES5 out in the shops?
And why are HMV putting those people clever enough to sniff out the bargain to the back of the queue?
Apparently some indies put out these games a few days before the official release date. I'm hoping some miscreant will get it out for the XBox tomorrow in some seedy Northamptonshire shopping street... :lol:

Thursday morning is the earliest i expect to get it. I've ordered from gameplay so i get it early and i'll sell the £15 one on ebay.

If you can withstand the B.O for 5 minutes on Thursday stormy, try Gamestation. They've come good, so to speak, the last couple of years.

Yeah, highly unlikely GAME will have it. Still crossing my fingers for Gamestation although I do wish I'd ordered online now.

YAY! :clap: the one true benefit of the transfer window is that games are now more up to date. Boy was I annoyed that Rooney was still at Everton in the last one.
I'm my geekiest at having the right names at the right teams, all the way back to Sensible soccer on the Amiga.

Aye, stupid damn Game are saying it's not in stock yet DESPITE the actual game being on those stinkin screens.

Right then after playing the game online....
The bad news....
The lag is still there. :mad:
The good news....
One half is played on the opponents machine, the other half is played on yours, so lag will only last for one half.
Also, it has little indicators next to peoples names showing how good their connection is, green - good connection, orange - crap connection. Which is very handy!
A bit more detail has gone into the online stats too. I can look at how many times I've disconnected but havent figured out how to look at other people's stats that show how many times they've disconnected.
I'm not sure how the point system works either, it seems as though if you beat somebody, you may take points away from them, but I'm not sure about this, havent figured it out yet.

It's the PC version thats out next Friday. These guys will be talking about the PS2/XB versions

I believe they've adopted the ELO system (which is used on games like Burnout Revenge) and the basic principle is that the higher the rank the person you beat is the more points you are awarded and vice versa , if you lose to someone a lot of ranks below you then you lose a lot of points. If you lose or win to someone of a similar ranking then the points lost or gained are less.

Might have to get the Xbox version tomorrow to keep me going til then.
Bit of a shame about the lag still being there. Did think it was a bit suspicious though that there wasn't much press about the Live mode being fixed.

To be honest, I've never found the lag to be that bad when playing against fellow forumites.
Its always been worse when I've played matches against random players. :suspect:

Yes, the lag is alot better then PES4 if you play somebody with a green connection, infact there is no lag at all, not that I've noticed anyway. I played someone with a yellow connection to see what it was like, and there was pretty bad lag, so it depends on the other persons and your connection. The best thing to do is play somebody with a green connection. I darent play somebody with an orange connection!
I haven't been able to figure out where I can see the strength of my own connection. So at the moment I'm going to say no, you cant see your own connection which is a shame. :(
Yes the halftime switch is seemless and causes no problems whatsoever! :thumbs:

It's compulsary. There seems to be no option to turn it off.
This game's starting to annoy me. Is it me or does every player on this game have a bad touch or respond very slowly? A turn to run in the opposite direction seems to take an age.

RE: the first touches Kronik, it does get better. You've got 3 options. Hold R1 and the opposite direction to which the ball is travelling to allow the ball to come across your body and run onto it. Hold R2 to trap it and turn towards goal. Finally you have good old super cancel which you'll already know.

I dont fancy paying £15 for Max Drive for Xbox, cos I'm only ever gonna use it once. Now if we could gather 15 people to invest then it wouldnt be so bad :suspect: :D
