Beware! This is the Black Horse version which is pretty poor and has not been remastered in the way that the excellent Optimum set has.
The Optimum set is also available for less money and has tons of extras on 7 discs.
Go for Optimum instead!

Here are a couple of quotes from Amazon about the expensive set:
On the DVD:This 14-disc set has one film per disc, which is a bit of a waste given that the longest runs only 82 minutes, and some are less then 60 minutes each. Picture quality is poor at best, fuzzy and lacking clarity, with no sign of any cleaning up of the prints. It's a shame that such a classic series has not been accorded more careful treatment. Another indication of the lacklustre presentation is the single extra feature: a rather prosaic documentary hosted by Christopher Lee about the various versions of Holmes down the years, which is repeated on four of the discs, and which has nothing specific to say about the Rathbone era. --Mark Walker
Dont buy this rubbish at its inflated price, buy "The Definitive Collection" which is 1000 times better than this - all 14 rathbone films from pristine copies, good extra's and stuff - and it's about 1/3 of the price of this set. Even if you own this set, with its bad fidelity and murky pictures, I would still recommend you buy the Definitive Collection. The two sets incomparable
