Current plans
1) The Leagues will kick off 1st January (possibly a week earlier :D).
2) Each league will start on the 1st of the month. This will give us roughly 10 seasons before PES6 :D Each league must be finished by the last day of the month
2.5) Cup competitions will start 2 weeks into the season and must be over by 1st week into the season. World Cup and FA Cup will alternate
3) There will be an intrim competition before the first Season kick off which may/may not determin ranking for Season 1
4) "The commitee" will reform and consist of only 3 members. A 2-1 vote will determin what happens when there's a problem.
5) As part of another website idea I have I'm going to look at stealing some code and allowing people to enter their scores themselves online. If this prooves successful then you will also be able to track your progress overall, against certain members etc.
Suggestions / Opinions
Any 'preseason' league plans?

I personally think the committee should be 5 members and those members should be the less controversial and neutral members only.

I would also include some adhoc tournaments - especially if the 2-player per team is included in the PC version. The Ryder Cup was great fun so should also be considered.

Ono sent me the link to this forum from the NTSC-UK forum as I've been playing a wee bit of PES4 on the Xbox recently, only to find the lag problems a nightmare. So I'll be picking up PES5 for the PC and would be interested to join your league.

Few tips for you as you are new to PC PES:
- Get an MSN account - most of us use it to challenge others.
- What modem do you have? You may have to faff around with some settings.
- Be active on these PES threads. Nothing worse for the league than people disappearing without notice. If you are away for any periods let Bolch know.

I trust any of the guys you mention to do a good job and hopefully lag won't be a problem in the new release, so everyone can stop their bitching and blaming it when they lose.

Think it's great what goes on here, and really is what PES should be about, playing with people online
Will anyone be allowed to join? If the season starts in Jan, that gives us some time to get used to the online stuff. Would be great if possible :)
I think we could maybe have some kind of mini league for players that want to get going straight away and then start the official leagues as scheduled? :shrug:

I think the main thing is this noobs (and all for that matter!): -
If you start doing poo, don't just give up and not play any more. Nothing gets on my tits more than someone who takes a few beatings and then vanishes meaning those who play him lose out on points and goals. If you find you are not having fun after your first season quit, but don't just 'give up'.
That's my biggest concern about starting a league too early, people moan about losing and being crap so quit, then those who they've already played moan because they've lost points as they've been removed and the tables start looking ghey.
Everyone should get into playing friendlies asap to pick up the game and find out what they need to work on if they don't want to get beaten all the time. There will be a comp or 2 before Season 1, but "Season 1" won't start until January

Apparently there are going to be online leagues anyway, so maybe they might be the place for us to hone before the forums leagues start?

if anyone drops out or does not play there games on time they should be banned all season........(unless there is a geniune reason)
why should someone joining the league , mess it for other , it annoys me when people dont turn up...............

- I've got a Belkin wireless modem/router/firewall so I'm guessing i'll have ports to open up

I think it will take until January to sort out the regulations for the new league :D
If the rumoured half-time host switch works OK, we may only need to have one leg per opponent, rather than the two legged affairs at the minute. Although it will probably be fairer to still have two.
Really looking forward to it, although I definitely have some work to do on my PES5 skills if the demo is anything to go by. Keeping a clean sheet is not a problem, but scoring at the other end is. I think just about every goal I have managed on a decent level has been from a corner - usually a very satisying 'Hughes-type' volley

Just practice, practice and practice mate. Add all of the regulars here to your MS Messenger contacts and just play friendlies. Oh, and practice.

No way should we ditch the 'Home' and 'Away' system - league would be over in no time for me :D

If I had to vote for 3 it would be Ono, Bolch and Art, for the sole reason that they have been there since the start and know the in's and out's, not because I want to bum them or anything.

daz mate u have done a lot of hard work for this league which is great, keep it up, just could nott understand why u quit league when hornsteve jnr hammered u that time,
surly if anyone quits now they must be banned all season..its not fair on others
say for example i play u daz and gte beat both games, u quit later in league someone else takes place and other in league beat him it not fair.........
:D anyway not having a go at u daz at all so please dont take the wrong way....... :thumbs:

NEW RULE FOR PES5
QUITTERS OR PEOPLE U DONT TURN UP should be bannedfor all the season, this way it will make the league more enjoyable, also if after they get banned for season and they carry on posting to say they are not happy, then why not ban them from dvd forums too.........till season ends.............
lets get are ideas out now b4 the season starts not when it starts like pes4.........
it started great pes4 but the last few season were annoying and we all know why

Haven't ever quit from any league i've been in, and have no intention to start now. Don't think I played Hornsteve either - your not talking about daz75 are u? :lol: :lol:
I'll admit, this season has wound me up, as I just couldn't get to grips with Valcrapia, but never had any intention of dropping out - its a game FFS, not the be all and end all (i know, thats blasphemy to some of you but still.....). :p :dork:

Loving the 5th installment more and more now, and the goals are starting to flow :D
I wish there were more bookings for charges off the ball though - you can be running clean through on goal and be taken out from behind, and have the defender not even booked, which is pretty annoying and likely to be exploited online.

Slide tackles are dealt with fine though, so watch out Ono :lol:
I love the fact that you can score some cracking goals in this version, ive already hit 2 with Henry and Ronaldinho :D

Have they sorted the bookings on keepers when they rush out? I've had dozens of fouls against my forwards who get rushed and chopped by the keeper only for a yellow or nothing to be shown - in real life that'd be a straight red and a 3 match ban!

Im interested in this, just need to sort out an MSN account. Im a long time Pro Evo player but was very disappointed with the xbox LIVE aspect last time around so stuck to the PS2.
Tempted to give the PC version ago this time, and its good that leagues wont start until jan as it gives me a chance to see how my PC will handle the game.
