hi, just been to sevenoaks sound and vision to look at the kef kht 2005av sub/sat speaker system and they recommended the denon avr1802 amp at £450. anyone know of these and would i be able to get one cheaper or even a better amp- i am quite new to this and don't have a lot of know how , help would be appreciated. cheers

try www.empiredirect.co.uk i bought my denon amp off of them about six months ago and i still havent seen it cheaper anywhere and its been discontinued!!!!

www.hifijunkies.co.uk have the 1602 for £270 & the 2802 for £490. Also take a look at the Marantz 4200/5200, WHF (FWIW) rate them higher than the low end Denons - group test in the latest issue.

Also RicherSounds are advertising the Pioneer VSX909 rrp <strike>£1200</strike> for £400!! :eek: & the Arcam AVR100 rrp <strike>£800</strike> also for £400!! :eek: Both could be worth a look.

Just bought an 1802,excellent,the Pro logic 2 transforms Sky and Videos.The Dolby Digital/DTS is also good.T
