Sky: Returning v New?

I'm planning on going back to Sky after NTL clicked on that I no longer work for them and the stopped by staff discount and want to know the best offer. I'm going for the full whack, Movies, Sports Sky+ etc. and seen the deal where you get free Sky+ subs with a world pack but want to know if there are any other offers out there? I used to be a Sky customer and keep getting mail drops asking me to come back but are the deals for a new customer better (I'd just sign up in someone else's name)?

new customer m8, new box which will be faster than ur orignial one, make sure ur missus signs up not u or else u wont get the deal.

Well,, we've just moved house (about 4 months ago) and fortunatly had a sky dish at the new place (had Sky+ at the old house so have the box). Anyway, decided that we didn't really want to pay £25 odd a month for Sky as we watch little TV so decided to go with the equivelant of freeview.

Anyway, got a phone call earlier this month and was offered the full entertainment package (everything except for movies & sports) for £5/month for a year - could have had everything for £29/month. Had to sign up for a year but for that price would have been rude not to.

Anyway, it was through a marketing comppany working on behalf of Sky and apparently it was being made to all Freesat viewers.
