anyone got any ideas on a release date?
Think I've seen spring 2002 mooted as a release date for the UK edition with English subtitles.

It's available in France as of next week, in two discs contained in a sort of biscuit-tin metal packaging, with free art cards and the like. Sounds very good, but the snag is...... i am not at all sure that there are English subtitles on it. Those curious should check out www.amazon.fr . Can anyone confirm the presence or absence of English subs on the disc?

The Collector's Edition will release first, on 17th of DEC. only 50,000 available, around £36.
The 2 DVD set will release on 9th Jan, 2002, around, £17
Both Editions don't come with England Subtitles.
And I got it reviewed for DVDtimes here (http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/index.cgi?page=Review&id=446&story=2496).
Hopefully this one will make it across the channel as it's quite
beautiful...

You know most English/US titles are released with French subs, why the hell cant the French do the same and include English subs on theyre DVDs damn it!!
Yes! Seeing as we're all in the EU together, we should at least produce DVDs that everyone can watch! ;)

Mmmm... not that I disagree (would love to see it made compulsory to have all EU laguages subtitled) but how many UK DVDs have French subtitles? Not that many you'll find... and as for the US releases there are some with those subtitles but by no stretch of the imagination is it standard... and their mere inclusion is for quebec...
There are plenty of French DVDs out there with english subtitles on them (La Haine, L'appartment Hana-BI and Est ouest to name but a few top releases) but I suspect that in this case it's a rights issue that they don't have the English subtitles... look at the three colours release - being MK2 one could have expected english subtitles but due to Artificial Eye having the rights for the UK release they were kept off the French release...
