I've just watched it and yes its as good as the hype!
Good story, Billy Crystal and John Goodman are the monsters, lots of good gags, and some very funny ones:D

I thought Shrek was over-rated on first viewing but enjoyed it far more on second viewing, Monsters Inc was an immediate winner in my book and will be an essential purchase when released!!!

Oh, BTW, the film has a quite, quite wonderfull final frame that'll bring a glow to your heart:)

Saw it last Thursday, and I must agree - it's absolutely delightful.

It doesn't resort to horribly schmaltzy songs to tug at the emotions, and comes across as a film with real heart because of it.

The script was, at times, screamingly funny ("What a plan! Simple, yet insane!"), constantly surprising (the final big action scene is a knockout) and it had the most satisfying ending, which was surprisingly low-key.

The acting was superb, from John Goodman and Billy Crystal to Jennifer Tilly's unbelievably sexy purr.

An utter delight of a movie from start to finish - I cannot wait until this one comes out on DVD!
