Are you allowed to have more than one eBay account? Would it be a problem linking them all to one Paypal account or is that not allowed?

I've done that, not aware of any problems as lots of people have multiple accounts sell /buy different things. I'm not sure you can have 2 paypal accounts though (same card/address)

Yes you can have multiple ebay accounts and yes you can link them all to the same paypal account, it works quite well actually.

Isn't that frowned upon though amongst the eBay circle, with people bidding on their own listings to hike up prices?

Obviously, you're not supposed to do that, but you can have as many accounts.

It was only a couple of quid or something like that (I think it was a mobile phone charger), but it really annoyed me that an established seller would stoop so low and risk his reputation for so little gain. It it was obvious from the bids on his other items that he was shill-bidding. He never even bothered to change the location town or village of the shill-bidder. :oh-hum:

He was only suspended for a day or two. A suspicious person might well think that eBay find it more profitable to turn a blind eye towards their Powersellers' minor indiscretions. :suspect:

mmm, nice assumption you've made there! I'm not shill bidding. I don't even sell on ebay as it is too much trouble given the chances of being ripped off.

I have multiple accounts for buying different stuff, one that I use most of the time, but a couple of others that I use for buying particular stuff ... one for slightly geeky stuff that I don't really need friends and family who know my main ID chasing through my buying history for :suspect: . And another couple for some highly collectible categories which tend to be inhabited by a small number of collectors, who know each other's bidding tactics, it is good to hide your interest in some items in those sorts of categories sometimes.
