not for me, but a friend of mine has recently purchased a PS2 and wanted to borrow some of my DVD's. She went through my Profiler list and nearly every single movie she asked for was a region 1!

I have no knowledge of PS2's at all but I mentioned that she might be able to play some of mine (and open herself up to a much bigger range of DVD's) by using DVD Region X (is that it?).

If that's what she needs, how does it work or are there other ways?

Yeah Region X.

You put the Region X CD in, select the region and then put the DVD in.

Region X does work very well and I think that Gameplay.com still do it for £15.99 delivered.

It's a slight pain having to boot the disc up every time but it's a doddle after that and I think it even plays DVD's that have Regional Coding Enhancement (never have tried as I haven't got any).
