What have been your fondest and most hated memories of playing PES4 in our leagues?
Loved
Beating Tequila for the first time ever 6-2 away from home in the FA Cup Final to win 8-6 on aggregate
The night me and Baps (totally unplanned) played solidly for 4 hours with the same teams
Training Hawaiian Floyd into the player he is today :D
Bap's match reports
Scoring with the last kick of the game from 35 yards out win my away game against Baps 1-0 in Season 2 (as you can guess he wasn't happy :D)
Seeing fellow ex-xbox players ditch it for the PC version helping the league to grow to 4 divisions
Getting our own sub forum
Making lost of new friends :luv: [/ ghey]
Hated
Amount of bitching over lag, play styles etc
Getting relegated after 4 seasons in the top flight :(
Having so many people drop out mid season
Loved
Playing with teams I would never normally touch.
The level of compitition.
The general attitude towards the game.
Getting promoted every season since starting.
Finding out I did not just have to deal with annoying turns in the most inappropriate places.
Winning the XBox Euro Championships with Greece.
Inter Milan / Real Madrid.
Games against Zboniek.
Beating teams in higher leagues. :n0rty:
30 Yard screamers.
Hated
The 'L' word.
Not being promoted in my first season because of a drop out.
Birmingham, Reggina.
Bulldog Broadband (the early days, their better now).
Throw in's.
Ref inconsistancy.
The fact this is the last season

1) Playing the game generally...against people who play the game in the right spirit.
2) Finishing 2nd in the Premiership in one of the earlier seasons...Tequila turned up and played all of his games on the last day of the season and won it...I wuz robbed :|
3) Winning the 1st division, after being relegated for the first time, in a division full of class players.
4) Learning that *all* styles of play can be countered, even the cross-a-lot method...though I learnt that a little late really, i.e yesterday
5) Loved Bolch doing such a bang-up job with the organisarion side of things, all despite not being *that* big a fan of the sport - appreciate it fella
6) BrendonW
Hated
1) Losing quite a few of the early adopters, i.e. Baps, Viva la Dam, Manx, CarlFr etc etc - all great blokes
2) Seeing our once peaceful, sporting competition being infiltrated by bitching moaners...you know who you are :|
Loved
Games like I had with two people last night, no fouling, great spirit, end to end stuff.
The helpfulness of the majority of people in the game, including the person who I don't think I have even played, but who fixed my PC for me when it went tits up recently.
The closeness of Division 3 last season.
The fact that you can start off thinking your team is a bunch of muppets and by the end of the season, love them.
Playing with new teams all the time - hope that continues in PES 5.
The fantastic organisational skills of Bolch - perfect example just when we were reaching the end, he comes up with the 1 star competition.
The fact that everyone seems to be able to play at a level that suits them in this league, whilst still getting an opportunity to test themselves against others in cup competitions and superleague.
Hated
People who can't see that moaning about moaners is moaning in itself.
People who think they play the game in the right spirit (and try to claim the moral high ground through it) when in fact they don't.
People who have to get involved in arguments even when it is not their argument.
Lag (in my early days when i couldn't host because it was so bad)
Conceding goals.
People who claim the moral high ground on here, and then abuse via MSN. One day, i will publish the conversations! ;)

Alas I find myself guilty of this one...though there is a difference between moaning about the players who play the game, and those who complain about aspects of the game and competition.
People who have to get involved in arguments even when it is not their argument.
Again guilty as charged...though I would appeal, but would likely have more evidence found to the contrary...what you have to understand is the bitching ****** off the organisers of the competition, so putting the league itself at risk.
People who claim the moral high ground on here, and then abuse via MSN. One day, i will publish the conversations! ;)
Not sure if this one is directed at me, but you are right, there is a *lot* of interesting information that could be published on here :suspect: ;)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thought of a few more positives:
- Baps post-match 'tirades' were just legendary, where he would blame everyone from the ref to his dog for finishing the game with 7 players
- One of the early games I had against Baps, where I was losing 2-1, was down to 7 men and nearly scored an equaliser  I say nearly as I then went on to lose two more men to have the game abandoned and defaulted as a 3-0 loss :p Baps' post-match report was superb
- the drunken friendlies in the early days vs the Manx - we would often stop a game to discuss the vintage of the wine we were drinking :D
I can see 5 only getting better, so they be interesting times
Why do you think that it is aimed at you? I don't recall ever even having a conversation on MSN with you, if it was it was brief.
IF your comment about "interesting things being revealed on here" is a veiled reference to what i think it is, then you should probably be very careful. If it is not then I apologise for being over sensitive.
I wasn't going to bring up any of the recent issues in the hate section, and leave it as read. but as you did, and I do generally hate some peoples attitude (and I am not referring specifically to you) I then mentioned it as well.
Finally, your constant hinting that you have some kind of direct line to the organisers of this competition and you know just how much certain people **** them off "even threatening the future of the league" does concern me. If Bolch really does have a problem with me, and is using you as his unofficial mouthpiece, then I wish he would just tell me straight. if you are merely claiming this, then i wish you would stop.
Anyway, this could start descending in a direction we don't want to go. So maybe we should leave it here?

I wasn't refering to you directly, but I chat with Bolch quite a bit and it is obvious certain people annoy him. Thankfully I'm sure he will continue with keeping things running as he loves playing the game as much as anyone I'm sure

Thought of a couple more negatives to keep things on topic.
- When sometimes your players do strange things that you haven't told them to do...or when you are clean through on goal, hammering the shoot button, but nothing happens, though there are other times when if you even breathe on the button it shoots off too early  :n0rty:
- The PES injuries - I now have a permanent lump on the 3rd finger of my left hand, through excessive PES playing
If Bolch really does have a problem with me, and is using you as his unofficial mouthpiece, then I wish he would just tell me straight. if you are merely claiming this, then i wish you would stop.
Lou is my biatch that much is true but I have my own voice. I've posted a couple of times recently about how annoying I've found all the bitching. While some of the bitching of late has involved you (wether it's started or not I don't know and I don't care) I don't have a problem as there was more bitching from other members over the course of the leagues.
There's only 1 person I've got anything close to a gripe with is bigjonny and that's only because he seems to purposfully sets out to wind me up, then accuses me of bias against him. No idea where he got it from  If that's wrong jonny then sorry it's just how it seems from my point of view
I do have a problem with the amount of bitching that goes on (don't know how much goes on behind the scenes :suspect: ). Damell is a great player who I'd love to of carried on in the leagues, but he left because people were taking the game too seriously. People need to remember it's a game and to have fun. If you've got a problem with how someone plays, then keep it to yourself. As Lou says cut backs and corners can be defended against, no need to bring it out in the competition threads - how about a bit of sportsmanship?
few more negatives i can think of are these.
1. The fact that the game won't let you make formation changes after conceding a goal. I can think of one game where I changed my formation at half time, and it was a crap one to use. My opponent just waltzed through and scored two times, and I couldn't change my formation. Eventually I had to kick it out, make the formation change and of course my opponent then had posession again!
2. The fact that the keepers will sometimes sit and watch whilst the ball trickles past (or over) them and just stand still as it goes into the net.
But there is really nothing (in online gaming) that beats that moment when you are playing someone of an equal standard who plays the game fairly and honestly, you don't burst through on goal and get chopped down, you don't get fouled everytime you venture into their area. PES 5 looks like it's going to be stricter on that - and if it is, then it's a very good thing.
But the people I have played have 99 times out of a hundred have been really enjoyable, good sports, who play the game the way it should be played and recognise that it doesn't matter where you are in the league, it's the game that counts.
BEST:
Taking 4 points off Tequila in the Super League after losing a combined 11-0 in 2 Premier League games that we played back to back
Scoring from the Half Way line for the first time online
The fun of playing with totally different sides like Olympiakos, Mainz etc
Rivalry and banter between all of the players
Baps's match reports
Beating Richdmx home and away in Season 6 for the first time after so many tries
Seeing the many different ways of playing this masterpiece of a game
Becoming Barlow's bogey player after he had a hoodoo over me for so many games :D
WORST:
The 'L' Word as an excuse for losing
Bad losers
Whining about 'If I had a better team, I'd beat everyone'
People who never turned up for games
People calling me spawny* - it really hurt my inner pride :| :D
Losing my World Cup QF to Br00n - it still rankles now that I wasted Cameroon that year

I think that's all part of the banter, but you've been anything but spawny in our recent matches...though the least said about the 1st season you had with Olympianus the better :oh-hum: :p

The Wolf Patch - took an already excellent game to a new level.
The buzz you get at the start of a season.
The first season I played with Charlton in the xbox league & got promoted.
Being drawn over to the dark side & joining the PC league.
Ono & Bolch for their organisational skills.
Probably the most I've played a game since Manic Miner.
Games being played in a competitive but fair spirit.
Players disappearing mid-season without letting anybody know.
Lag issues being blown out of all proportion.
Monster Munch - What an argumentative ****.
Never getting past the first round of the cup.
The second season I played with Charlton and realised they were one season wonders.
*******s & Hornsteves verbal sparring - just get a room guys!
The day i play my final PES4 match.
Loved
- shaping the format of the leagues and coming up with the rules;
- the realisation that I was playing one of my favourite games against loads of different people with varying skills and styles;
- introducing newbies like John316 to Onos Aggressive Style of play;
- the money I got in Paypal bribes just before drawing teams for a season :clap: ;
- the regulars - I'd buy you guys a drink anytime (with the dosh I have in my Paypal account :lol: );
Hated
- the responsibility when the league got too big;
- not improving;
- Monaco :oh-hum: ;
- the bitching and the tantrums - lasty22 etc - if you don't want to play in the spirit of the league then **** off to the launcher.
Loved
Playing with the variety of teams we've used
Ono for not only starting the leagues, but taking time working on the automated spreadsheet making my job easier!
How much my game has improved, used to rely on crosses now play a very fluid open game

Plus Points
- The general banter
- Some peoples match reports
- Beating Tequila in a 7 match thriller in one of our early games
- The feeling when an intricate passing move comes off
- Seeing people round my keeper and shooting over
- Slowly working on my tactics and working them to make my teams difficult beat
- Having the lowest GA in season 6
- Working out how to chip at the beginning of Season 7
- Getting to both PC and Xbox premier leagues from lower divies :D
Minus Points
- Unresponsive controls at times (I pressed SHOOT god damn it!!!!)
- My keepers against Tequila (they always lose me games and they only do it against him  )
- Passing system –sometimes passes to a player that you weren’t intending, often setting up the other teams with goals
- Sometimes off throw ins all defensive players vanish leaving the attacking players with about 20 sq yards of space on the wing
- Ref’s that give yellows when chopped on the edge of the box and nothing when you round the keeper and get chopped and yet give a red if you chop someone on the inside of the centre circle :?:
- People who have a go at others about their tactics when theirs are at fault
- Scanner getting in the way of players (you can’t see them!)
- Shevchenko’s inconsistency; one moment he scores a volley from 35 yards the next he’s missing from 1 yard out
- The offside system that clearly doesn’t work properly
Jean-Claude Van Dam, I don't remember that tournament - it surely wasn't a final, as if I reach those heights I tend to get nosebleeds.
It was a knockout with international teams (think I got England) that resulted in a round robin with you, Damell and myself. Think I drew with you, lost big style to Damell then you beat Damell to take it.

Going out of the World Cup before that in second round. Had Sweden and 6 cans of Stella, can't remember who I played or the team
Playing a prem player in the Super League with the wrong team :suspect: and winning.
The main one though was relegation dog fight against Prof in my 1st season. Was 1-0 up and he brought Owen on 2nd half, Prof kicked off 2nd half, tap to Owen, 50 yards over my keepers head and in. Proceeded to loose 3-1 but will never forget that goal.

Ups
- Stevie for continuing to organise the Xbox leagues in the face of moaning, whinging, and Monster Munch
- Winning the Xbox Premiership in Season 3
- Working out Roma and going on to win 14 staight games in a row after winning 1 of the previous 8 before that, and therefore scraping into the Season 5 playoffs on goal difference
- The glorious moment when we finally found out that, yes, Pro Evo on the Xbox was going to be on Live!
- The fact I am still playing this game after a whole year
- The lag when it was bearable enough to make you play like a European away game and go for the away goal and win at home
Downs:
- Never having time to join the PC league as well :(
- Losing my Premiership title in Season 4 by 1 point
- Losing 2 cup finals 2 seasons in a row
- Losing in the cup final therefore not winning the double that season
- Roma making play the lazy winger way after 4 seasons of Total Football ;)
- The lag when it just wasn't playable

I'm only kidding mate - it must have been at the stage where I was actually pretty ok...then everybody else improved and us early adopters were screwed :D
I think the standard now is pretty equal across all divisions - for example, had some good friendlies with belly recently (one game he gave me an absolute pasting) and if was only after I gave him some stick about wearing out the grass on the wings, that he reminded me he was a div 3 player.

Loved:
Playing against you guys with the no quitting attitude
Beating Tequila Home and Away in the same session :D
Seeing how many players Baps could have sent off in one game!
PESOnline - a lovely little app
Hated:
Being diddled out of my Premier League place in Season (2/3?) thanks to the "new" league setup ;) :)
Not being able to play online much since that season (although I can now and have signed up for the PES5 league!)
The kiddies who play online and can't take losing!
I've done it!

Codec Pack is a video codec pack for Win Media Player.
Peerguardian2 is an IP blocker to stop nasty people like the FBI and the CIA from picking up my IP address.

- the drunken friendlies in the early days vs the Manx - we would often stop a game to discuss the vintage of the wine we were drinking :D
 :notworthy
Positives:
Old school players that have been in since the start: Lou, Ono, Art, Nils, Prof etc
A good spirited game
Tequila's absolute unflinching dominance!
Negatives:
Starting off as a reasonable player, only to get overtaken by all those whose arse used to get kicked! Well done though guys :)
