You can pick any team except :-
Arsenal, Man U, liverpool, Inter, AC Milan, Juventus, Roma, Real Madrid, Deportivo, Chelsea, Barcelona, PSV, Bayern Munich, Dortmund, Valencia.
Duplicates will be allowed.
Normal rules apply.
Games are played home & away. In the event of a tie, away goals count double.
If scores are still level, the first team drawn hosts a 5 minute game with ET & penalties set up.

Grateful Ghoul - I spoke using the headset last night to let you know that I wanted to play our cup game, not sure if you heard or not.
If you did the results were:

Newcastle win 5-1 on aggregate.
Of course if you didn't hear and thought we were playing friendlies I'd be happy to replay the games (unless you beat me then I'll be upset!).

Sorry about not speaking or hearing you on mic, as it was late I didnt use it as I get ear ache of the old gal for waking everyone up with my rants :n0rty:
However I assumed the games were our cup games and concede defeat to a much better side.
After losing my home leg 1-0, I thought if I can snatch a away goal too, I may be able to snatch a victory from the replay. However the battle plan went wrong when you scored early on and I switched to 3 at the back :cry:

Phew, very close games there. Two late goals in the first leg helped no end, as I knew I'd concede in the away game. I had a lot of possesion in your half in my home game but other than hitting the bar early on made few clear cut chances. Although I wasn't happy with Shearer's long range effort :razz: ;)

A very close game with Kaiserlautern going through thanks to an early solo effort in the 1st game which meant the equalizer late in the 1st half of the 2nd game gave Kaiserlautern a 2-1 aggregate win.
Very closely fought. Indeed, in the 2nd game we each only had 3 shots and only 1 on target (the goals!) each!

Well played mate, first game I thought I was doding well at -21 up, but you just caught me short in defense to take a well deserved win. Second game I just could not string 2 passes together, don't think the kit's helped at all. But if you managed to score, no excuses there.

Home game was a well ground out result against resiliant opposition.
Away game I was under the cosh for most of the first half and could easily have been 2 or 3 down before I snatched a goal on the break to make it 1-1 at half time. 2nd half Daz went all attack and was hit on the break again which killed the game.
I managed to resist gesturing to the chairman at the end of the match. :)
Unlucky mate. I think you knocked me out of the last cup I played, so this evens it up. Hope to see you again in PES5.
Spoony - did you log off after our game? It wasn't a cup tie, I intened it as a league game. The rules state that the first team drawn (i.e - you) should host a five minute match with extra time and pens on, and since you didn't invite me, I thought I'd invite you and get a league game out of the way. I played as Man Utd too, rather than Man City.

Two great games mate :thumbs: I couldn't believe I nudged the ball to you for both your goals and thought it would cost me. But you're similar defensive mix up let me get the crucial away goal and I hoped I could take the win at home.

Spoony - did you log off after our game? It wasn't a cup tie, I intened it as a league game. The rules state that the first team drawn (i.e - you) should host a five minute match with extra time and pens on, and since you didn't invite me, I thought I'd invite you and get a league game out of the way. I played as Man Utd too, rather than Man City.

I needed a third goal in the first game after seizing a two goal lead and couldn't get it. Losing the away goal scuppered me as it meant you needed to only win 1-0 instead of 3-0 to progress. As much as I tried in the second game I couldn't score. Might have guessed it was Ricksen that got send off in the first game!
Looking for promotion this year so might see you in the Premiership next season.

My own fault this one. I was leading 1-0 at half time and matt had not had a single shot so I changed my tactics to a more attacking one. I fell apart in the second and nabbed a draw in the end.

Again I had more of the game but Matt's better finishing won the match.
Moan of the match: a very cynical foul on Robbie Keane just as he was running in on goal. There was no attempt to play the ball, It was frankly disgusting and soured the match for me. The fouler only got a yellow too. When using voice comms, these sorts of things can be appologised for and talked about but without comms they just come over as the other player being very cynical. As I say, it did sour the matches for me as it was at a crucial time.
Watch out whoever plays matt in the next round!

SaintM (Spurs) 3 - 3 MattWild (Kaiserlautern)
MattWild 4 - SaintM
These two games were completely mad. 1st game SaintM took the lead, I got one back almost straight away just into the 2nd half. I then take the lead with a nicely taken 2nd , 2-1 me! He manages to get one back on the 75th min and then gets another on the 79th minute, 3-2 SaintM! Finally, with the last kick of the the game my forward manages to find some pace on the left hand of the box and smashes it into the roof of the net :clap:
2nd game was even stranger. 1st half I sprinted into a 3-0 lead within the the 1st 29 mins. On the stroke of half time SaintM puts a hopeful cross in that smashes off the post, shoots out and then in off my defender running back :doh: In the 2nd half after about 10 game mins SaintM puts a hopeful throughball forward and for some reason my whole defence had disappeared bar one player keeping Kanoute on :mad: and he calmly slots it in from 20 yard.
Then, on 69 mins a SaintM corner came in and Kanoute gets another free header. Its straight at my keeper but somehow he manages to drop it and trickled over and it - 3 -3 :cry:
However, Kaiserlatuern broke Spurs hearts with the last kick of the game with a delicate chip over the keeper and despite the defender on the lines best efforts it dropped in and made it 4-3 to me :clap:
As for the foul, it was very cynical, delibrate and got the result I needed to keep my lead at the point. Apologies for it all the same as I hate it when it happens to me. Mind you, I think frustration got the better of you later on as you attempted it on a couple of left wing runs (can understand after I did it mind).

I'd been trying to avoid slide tackling all game, but it did annoy me and make me wanna pull your defenders legs off ;)
Then again, it also annoyed me enough to make my eventual equaliser all the sweeter. :D
On reflection they were a couple of good matches. Your shots on target to goals ration was near enough 100% :notworthy

Good games mate, it was 0-0 for a long time in the first one, then I found myself in the zone and everything just went in! You didn't deserve to lose the second one, late goal was harsh.
I could hear you, but you obviously couldn't hear me. Shame, as always enjoy the banter. It was however amusing to hear your screams of despair as your defence stood around watching the ball, or all ran to one side of the pitch!

I realised you might have heard everything I was saying as the sound popped into life when I went to play Burnout! My brother was with me and so I was talking to him most of the time but it must have been quite amusing commentary for you. I can't understand what happened to my defence in the second half of that match, they were like 7 year olds where everyone ran to the ball leaving you a choice of attackers to slot home the goal. I then thought I might salvage some pride in the second and thought I had the better of the match despite my players unwillingness to pass the ball forwards! Well played mate and good luck for the rest of the comp. :thumbs:

Although I feel hard done by with the nature of the goals, over the two ties I can't complain at the result.
I was performing well to cut out the majority of your crosses, unfortunately I was not only cutting them out, but knocking them in the net too. :doh:

3rd time lucky!!! Finally win a cup final!!!
First game was close to start with, but I hit two almost identical beauty's from outside the box (Pro Evo 5 helped there!) and then got into the zone and everything just went in. Got a bit nervy with your last minute goal though.
Second game you scored a good chip to go 1 up and I thought I could be in trouble. You probably had the most of the match, but managed to sneak 2 past you.
Cheers for the games mate, good to finish the season with a cup final.

2nd game I thought I had a good chance when I went 1 up. Had a good chance to make it 2-0 and fluffed it and then my keeper for some reason let in a really soft 20 yarder (honestly it wasn't powerful at all) and from then I knew I was done for. Then with prolly your 2nd shot of the game you headed it at my keeper who fell over backwards and parried it into the roof of the net.
1st game you had 2 identical goals to put you 2 up and then three headed goals from similar positions but the game out of reach - for some reason in that 1st game my defenders on the wings were NOWHERE to be seen.
A really **** way for me to end Pro Evo on the xbox. When I got to the final, I wouldn't have imagned such a drubbing. I guess a solid weekend on the PC version of PES5 really screwed up any chances that I may have had...
Think that might have been where I had an advantage, after playing so many games on Pro Evo 5 the first weekend I hardly played at all this weekend past. Having said that I find 4 so easy now after playing 5, has probably improved my game!
I'd forgotten how soft that 2nd goal was, it wasn't until then that I relaxed!
Never mind mate, plenty of opportunity to get revenge in Pro Evo 5 :thumbs:

I'm in love with PC version of 5 TBH at the moment - its completely different and superior in just about every way...

As for the PC version being superior, I'd have to disagree. The PC version may look better, but i think the gamplay on the xbox is superior. I find the matches flow better as well.
THe lobby on the xbox is much more user friendly as well.
But of course, this may be just down to the fact that at the moment i can win games on the xbox but not on the PC!!!

I dunno but they seemed a class act – his attackers in the 1st game were about twice as fast as my defenders down the wings – were like rats down drain pipes :lol:
Quite embarrassed about how I completely fell to pieces considering my route there wasn’t the easiest :(
